Saying you have wide feat just reminded me. If you have Wide or narrow feat there is an extra route that you can pull the retention system cable through to make them extra narrow if you have narrow feat Ventilation is very good in the shoe too as well as the best carbon fibre available being used on the under sole |

I've always gone with northwave when it comes to shoes. I'm quite loyal to brands and if i buy something i like then i'll keep going back. Just invested in the new 2009 typhoon SBS shoes and they are beautiful. What do you think?

Smoothie, I'm not saying that a majority of people don't bring their leg in, what I meant was that the tilt doesn't make a difference except for a small amount of people, but it can cause pain if you don't drop your leg in a significant amount. My boss has a pair of SIDI's, and although he can get Shimano and Bontrager shoes at half the cost he gets the SIDI's because he likes them so much more. Also, 30% is too big to come just from shoes, it most likely has to do with a more efficient pedaling style, and that has more to do with seat height and positioning than shoes. |

I have to say you are wrong on a few statements there.
Your shoe is the place you are connected to the bike. If you are building a building you place a very solid foundation. Its the same with the shoe. If everything is correct at the base it stands there as a great base to build up from. In cyclings case, if you use the shims and the correct soles for your individual foot everything above will be firm as well. Pedaling style takes into account the shoe more than anything. If you wore no shoes how could you improve your pedaling style. Its a bit shallow to say its all about seat position, if you fitted yourself to the bike 100% correct you would find that the seat post was not at the maximum height that still feels comfortable. Ive been doing some research tonight and ive found out that the Arc support in Sidi shoes is now where near as good as Specialized and bontrager. Arc support all comes down to the inside of your foot and S-Works gets the edge again by offering 3 sole types you can taylor the shoe to your foot. Bontrager offer Inform, i think you warm that up in the microwave or something and then mould it round your feet. Then you lose a lot of the shoes solid structure
I hope this have cleared up a lot and i hope this information is useful. Its nothing personally Deadpool. |

I still say the SIDI's are better. Specialized have great marketing skills (and brain-washing skills apparently B)), but if your just looking for a high quality shoes, with no experimental technology, that you know will be high quality and give you a great set-up, get the SIDI's.
Or hell, Northwave and Mavic also have nice shoes. I mean, their are a lot of great shoemakers out their, and I don't think the Specialized shoes are at that level.
