Is it still clear that Rasmussen even doped though. There are just as many people who say he was in Mexico as Italy, and I never read that he tested positive. :/
it clearly states that a rider should inform where he is every day. not informing would result in a ban. As the doping inspectors could not test em. those are the rules , and they are unbendable.
But that doesn't equal a positive doping test if he had said where he was... Obviously I think he was/is doped, but so is my gut feeling about Lance...
None of them has tested positive in my memory, so the only difference is that Michael Rasmussen lied about his whereabouts, and is that as bad as being caught doping? Imo not, not by a million years, but that's anyones decision to make I guess... |

Rules are Rules. No need to change em or bend em. He knew He would get a ban if he didn't say where he was and he got one.
just like any other cyclist would get a ban if he did the same thing(even if he was belgian i would say the same thing).

Well... Rasmussen was tested some kind of positve. They've found DynEPO in his tests, but it wasn't unlegal in 2007. It has been since, tough... |

I am guessing that he has got either a short contract for the rest of the season or a clause which allows him to leave if a larger team was to offer him a contract. |

I can see the cyclingnews headlines already: "Chicken does Chihuahua"
Then a video link that says "Click here to see a chicken riding a chihuahua"

This is wrong. DynEPO is a variant of EPO, and EPO is on the list of banned products. Dekker was banned for using DynEPO in 2007.
The problem at the time that Rasmussen was caught was that the test wasn't valid.
After Dekker's positive test, there were numerous rumours that they had retsted Rasmussen's samples, and that they once again showed DynEPO. There's been no official statements regarding this, though. |

Haha, did you read the article? Ballan also reveals several of BMC's other signings: "You need to have good riders and the invitations will arrive. BMC also has [George] Hincapie, [Marcus] Burghardt and [Karsten] Kroon, no?"
So, BMC will be very strong next season - and they have been linked with other good riders too, e.g. Leipheimer. |

Looking like a heck of a classics team.
Ballan, Kroon, Hincapie and Burghardt immediately puts them as one of the top teams come April. But unless there's a GC guy in there, it doesn't seem like enough for a pro-tour team. BMC's best existing GC riders are who... Moos and Bookwalter? With what we know now, their best GC threat might be Hincapie.
Maybe they sign Horner? |

Ah, do you want me to list all the protour teams without GC contenders?
