Even though I'm a Utd fan, I think if Eduardo had stayed fit Arsenal would have won the league. It meant too much pressure on Adebayor, and he went off form at the wrong time (plus injuries to RVP etc.)
I tip them to be real challengers next season, with Utd. Chelsea I think will begin to slide, unless they buy some real good players to replace the ones who will inevitably leave. And no, an unfit and perhaps past his best Ronaldinho does not fit the description! Someone like Villa might change my mind, though...
Anyway, back on topic: Austria v Germany tomorrow - I know its not realistic, but I really want an Austrian victory tomorrow - it makes all the difference for a tournaments excitement when a host nation makes the knockouts |

Yeah Im really hoping Austria make it through. In a vaugly related note it annoys me that the only time this season RVP has been fit is the European Championships

Welcome to the wonderful world of Dutch wingers...
Robben, Overmars, Van Persie, Babel (although he got injured the wrong way round) etc. |

No way. Seems like you forgot France - Romania.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to see Italy and France missing out on the quarter finals today. I like how Italy is talking nonsense about fixed matches -- I mean, speaking of fixed and corrupt matches and referees, Italy themselves are very, very 'trained' |

Well there are som crazy matches tonight
We could have quarterfinals without the WC (Italy).. WC runner up (France) and the EC (Greece) .. That would be great haha |

Indeed, did you hear about the france manager btw.....he got the question if he would resign if they failed to go to the quarter finals, his answer was leaving the press conference right away |

Hehe, it was fun 4 years ago when Sweden and Denmark played 2-2 leaving Italy outside the quarterfinals. Then they really got bitter.

I don't know which match to watch. The France-Italy game should be good, but so should the Romania-Holland match.
Romania took 4 points off Holland in qualifying and now Holland are already qualified and will probably send out a weaker team. It's all in Romania's favour really.
I still don't know which to watch though Probably the Romania-Holland game.
