It is way too late to do any big changes to the system but what about adding a salary cap of 500,000. This would change the budgets of the top three teams (Sky, Movistar, Belkin) to 500000.
That way, Sky would at least struggle a bit with their renewals. Movistar would not have money to throw onto another rider in a deal and Belkin would only be involved a slightly bit.
Let's be honest, being able to renew with all of Costa, Valverde & Quintana is borderline. Being able to renew with the Sky armada is over the top.
That way the top teams would perhaps get a bit closer together but most importantly, we would not be able to get even stronger due to further buys. And only Jaxika and me would have to make new lists. (since you didnt posted your list yet)
I'm not against it, but I do feel jaxika earned the highest budget by picking the most overpowered team.
Fixed that for you.
As i said earlier this its not a nobrainer game. You need to do the right race choices, made the right wildcard applications, upgrades to perform. You just start a game, do the same seasons over and over and the rankings doesnt will be overpowered by Sky like in EPIC . I tested it . So its not only for picking.....
By the way, IRL i understand the hating of SKy, but in this game, why ?
Froome Two GTs, Porte the GT Froome is not riding in, Uran and Henao as superdomestiques, Wiggins a stage race wildcard, Stannard and Thomas for cobbles and any flat stage race with a TT, Hagen & Swifty for sprints. There, I just more or less planned you a sky season.
It's not a hard game if you have the best squad in the game, and it only makes sense to level out the quality.

I'm not against it, but I do feel jaxika earned the highest budget y winning the game. Every place should matter, although it may be less important at the top. Other opinions?
Besides, I still need to unleash my Superstar clash weapon
I do feel that jaxika "won the game" by having the best team to start with and not by his superior intelligence. I got second by having one of two other top 3 teams. (OPQ is the third one for me).
None of us have made any special calls but just used the "normal cycling-abc" to get there.
Of course, we had to make sure that we don't screw our seasons by making absolutely wrong decisions but it is rather easy if you have such great squads.
And you should remember that if we lose one of our top guys we will have the budget leftover so that we can throw it out at other team's big stars which would could see us getting even stronger!
sorry for not posting in a table, but i couldn't copy the table jaxica sent me
#OPQSforCT
Ask jaxika to post it for you, but I would ask you to reconsider. You're losing really, really, really a lot of riders this way. Even with 5 FA's, you'd still be around 15 riders, not nearly enough to ride a season with.

If you know the ingame stats then do you realize Thomas and Stannard never win a cobbled classic, Swift and Boasson Hagen doesnt have chance against the real sprinters (Swift with 75 SP, Boasson Hagen with 76 SP, really???? ) ....

It took me about 25 seconds to write that down, ofc I didn't check anything up. But you've basically got three guaranteed GT podiums, of which two should be a win, then you've got two of the best four TTists in the game, a very decent cobbles team for a team that shouldn't give a fuck, good enough chances in punchy races, huge chances in every one week race you enter, huge chances in any TT reliant stage race you enter (Wiggo can even handle mountains in this DB), and you can pack a sprint, too. Wins would be a bit much, but regular top tens very much possible. My point stands, your squad is way too good.

@Ollfardh i am only keeping those riders to sell them. I have no other option if i want to hold Martin Cav and Kwiat...
No. YOu have chance. Put Boonen on wait and try to sell him. This is 78kfrom 105k difference. ANd dont renew 6 weaker riders. You are in budget this way and if you have a great deal for Boonen, then you can buy some FAs. Or if you wit with MArtin you are actually on budget ...
Put Cav on hold, renew the rest (minus a few useless ones), sell a few others to get money for Cav. You really can't ride a season with so few riders left.

And i will need punishment because that ?
Punishment is the wrong word. Squads were really unbalanced at the start and now need to be made fairer. Not letting you renew all your riders is only fair.

Someone had to take SKY, jaxika did. It's better to blame the 2013 Daily DB makers for making SKY (& some other specific riders) so redonkulous strong, in retrospect. Which is kinda pointless, unfortunately.
As it stands, budgets are either too high or superstars are too cheap - more balance won't be achieved this season anyway. But it's fair to also leave it as it is now, and improve upon it in future seasons I guess.

Ofcourse, but that's not my point. My point is that the squad is too strong in comparisom with other teams, so he shouldn't be able to renew everyone. No way teams will ever become anything near balanced if sky can keep all their riders.
With Sky it isn't about wildcards, you win like every stage race with Froome or Porte and two GT's. You don't need to upgrade guys like Froome cause they are already OP.
Indeed. Sky, Movistar and OPQS should be having to let go of either a leader or a couple of second tier riders. And they certainly shouldn't be able to add anyone else without selling someone first. I think the budget cap is a great idea.
And, yes, I'm aware I have 200000 budget left, so you might call me a hypocrite, but that's just because, as you guys decided, I'm the Best Manager.
Manager of Bunzl - Centrica

Guys, keep calm, everyone had the chance to choose his team when we started. AND as the past season and the future season going, Ollfardhs rules make the game more and more balancing.

I think superstars are expensive enough. If riders like Quintana or Froome cost 40% of a top team budget than this definitly more than enough.
What is a bit more of a problem than is that the second tier guys like Intxausti or Castroviejo (to stay within my team) demand too low wages. They have the same wage as riders like Ospina or del Pino and that's just strage. But i guess it is too late to change that.
However, I think you're right with too high wages. That's where my suggestion starts to slightly reduce the budgets of Movistar and Sky.

Yes, thanks you. You'll see my balancing rules in your HQ soon
