Pavel Brutt signed a 2 year contract with Tinkoff.
I don't know to much about this rider, for what i can put together he is an all around domestique.
I don't like where Tinkoff-Saxo is going, really don't.
Brutt? come on
There is no future (32 years), and not really big things to expect of this guy. What a sad signing.
Really don't hope they sign more russian guys. It might be a prejudice, but I have really no faith in russian riders, and especially not those who are on a good level, not that Brutt is on this level, just saying; Galimzyanov, Menchov, Kolobnev etc.
Could it be that you are kind of prejudiced? It's not like everything from Russia is bad. Those examples are quite supporting for you, but on the other hand you have pretty nice talents at RusVelo f.e. and furthermore lots of Russians are working as domestiques in several teams. It's just that they really lack top riders at the moment. But maybe there will be some better days again.
About Brutt: What's bad about signing him? Tinkoff is bringing a bit more Russian character to the team, which I can totally understand. Brutt won't really be seen by anybody perhaps, but as a domestique is still ok. What annoys me, is that Tinkoff-Saxo is always talking like they would sign Sagan, Cavendish and Froome at once by their big announcements, but in the end we haven't seen any big signing so far. That's totally what I'm talking about.
[b]Yup, perfectly Zabel'd
Well... What can I say... |

To be honest, I think Tinkov can only hope for a signing of the Schleck/Gesink calibre- Sagan is a bit of a pipe dream. Here's a team who have riders such as Maijka, Rogers and Contador, yet still have only three Grand Tours to their name- as much as that sounds, one was definitely doped, and one was on a technichallity. As high as his wages will be, he'd be better off at Astana or sticking where he is.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.

How about Tinkoff targeting all the jerseys in next year's TdF? Obviously apart from the white one as Majka will be too old I think.

What took them so long. Finally someone for the classics for Tinkoff. I wonder if Riis can get the best out of him as he did with the Schleck brothers, Majka, etc. |

Wow.
World class signing, possibly the biggest transfer in this window.
And the indications from tinkov is that there are a few more big signings on the way. |

No surprise at all. Now it will be interesting to see what the TDF team is like.

Definetely looking forward to how Tinkoff is able to support him in MSR, Flaandern and P-R. He should win one of those next year I feel! And the big question is, of course, how it will pan out in the Tour. Im pretty sure he could win the green jersey on any team, but the question is how Tinkoff will support him in the finals on hilly stages. No matter what, it should be a lot better than the pathetic Cannondale team this year
Also Veloropa tweets: Majka, Trusov extends. Brutt, P Sagan, J Sagan, Bodnar signs. A lot of east european riders here which I guess is what Tinkoffs wants. I still hope a couple of the danish riders will remain in the future tho, especially a rider as Christopher Juul. |

I love this one, there's this whole article about Sagan joining on Tinkoff website and then in the last line:
''Slovak Juraj Sagan and Polish rider Maciej Bodnar will follow Peter Sagan to Tinkoff-Saxo.''
They must feel real nice. They didn't even get their own news about their joining of the team Anyhow one rubbish signing, but necessary to make Peter happy, and other a flat powerhouse, a great signing .

I can't believe I am doing this, but I am actually starting to like a team with Contador in it, due to reasons quoted above.
