Just watched the stage, very good one I have to say. What's happening with Wiggo?! Given that there aren't much more TTing kms left on the route, I'm afraid he is going to marginally lose this Giro on the descents.
Good thing for him is that the stages will begin to end in summits.

Marginally? He's already lost it.

It was a joke at the Sky "marginal gains" term, I think.

Well I guess Sir Wiggo's Giro campaign isn't over yet until they cross the very last finish line.

Nibali says he didn't have the information that Wiggins had been dropped or he'd have ridden
Meanwhile, Vicioso abandons with broken ribs, wrist and shoulder

Their radios are quite failing on this soaking Giro, worst for Betancur.

As expected Hesjedal was dropped today. Honestly I did not expect him to be major threat this year. This year his pre-Giro form has been aweful. 10kms of good racing in LBL does not account for great preparation as many here feel. It happened last year for him but lightening does not strike twice.
In big mountain stages it will be interesting to see what happens to Wiggins. If he gets dropped, will they allow Henao to be their leader. I guess not, its British team afterall. But Wiggins looked very vulnerable.
Looks like Nibali, Evans and Scarponi, and maybe Gesink will be real contenders going into big mountains.
Don't count out Santanbrogio and Pozzovivo..
Yes Santanbrogio certainlt looks like capable of top 5. |

Meanwhile, Team Sky declares Wiggins was never in any trouble.

Wiggo campaign going bad, celebration time.
Maybe Henao will get the leadership, or he will work his ass of for Wiggo?
I am so happy for Nibbles, i hope he can hold the jersey all the way, Evans looks like the biggest opponent. Gesink is surprise so far, he even stays on bike majority of the time.

It's not the Tour, so it will probably be a quiet rest day |

Knowing Sky, Wiggins will get full support until they are absolutely sure that he can't do it. This strategy already cost Froome a Vuelta victory, but they seem rather stubborn about their team hierarchy. |

I love Pantano's face
He knows Betancur is idiotically celebrating coming 2nd.

Pantano's face is indeed the best thing about Betancur's finish
but thanks to Brajkovic we know that you can celebrate second place

Kangert sayed that Astana also got some penalty..meaning that theyr car was moved to last. And impossible to get rain jacket from there.
How Wiggins got downgrade to Schleck level at descent? He was not that bad..soon also Sky team will atack before descent and block the road ..to get safe ride for Wiggins |

I never thought I'd say this, but... Gesink seems to be biggest favourite to end on the podium now (apart from Nibali ofcourse). |
