My Season
The season went well for me with again two victories, the first one in Halle - Ingooigem and the second in the French Championship (ITT). I've made a Top 10 in Milano - Sanremo and I took part in my first Tour de France which I did not end.
Concerning the Cobbled Classics, I've made the job asked by the team and Fabian won the E3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeck, Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris - Roubaix.
Other News
Sep Vanmarcke joined the squad of Omega Pharma where he'll be co-leader in the cobbled classics with Niki Tersptra.

sutty68: I hope less successful because winning everything is just not funny

Training Camp in Spain
We spend last week riding on the roads of Spain, a beautiful country even in winter, the weather was clement this week and we were able to ride without our cold suits.
We ride together or in groups of 8-10 riders to avoid climbers doing flat roads and the contrary to. I mostly ride with sprinters including our national champion Nacer Bouhanni.
The last day we had a time trial session where I finally wear my National Time Trial suit, it was good to ride alone in the beautiful landscape of Spain.
During the camp I had a meeting with Marc Madiot to talk about my plans for the season, Marc expect from me at list a top 5 in the Ronde van Vlaanderen and in Paris - Roubaix.
I will also have to bring as many win as I can in the smaller races either by helping the sprinters or by attacking when the finish is getting close.
Here is my plan till Paris - Roubaix, after I'm not sure but I might defend my National Title.
5-Feb | 10-Feb | | 2.1 | Tour of Quatar | 15-Feb | 20-Feb | | 2.1 | Tour of Oman | 25-Feb | --- | | 1.HC | Omloop Het Nieuwsblad | 26-Feb | --- | | 1.1 | Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne | 4-Mar | 11-Mar | | WT | Paris - Nice | 14-Mar | --- | | 1.1 | Nokere Koerse | 17-Mar | --- | | WT | Milano - Sanremo | 21-Mar | --- | | 1.HC | Dwars door Vlaanderen | 23-Mar | --- | | WT | E3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeck | 25-Mar | --- | | WT | Gent - Wevelgem | 27-Mar | 30-Mar | | 2.1 | VDK-Driagaagse de Panne-Koksijde | 1-Apr | --- | | WT | Ronde van Vlaanderen | 3-Apr | 6-Apr | | 2.1 | Circuit Sarthe - Pays de la Loire | 8-Apr | --- | | WT | Paris - Roubaix |
A little Bonus:
Yesterday I went on my first none official training with some friends. There were Arnaud Demare (Équipe Cycliste FDJ.fr), Adrien Petit (Cofidis, Solutions Crédits), David Boucher, (Blue Water Cycling), Kevin Lalouette, David Deroo and my brother Julian from Roubaix Lille Métropole.

sutty68: We could not dreamed better
SSJ2Luigi: Yep his name his Julian Velpois he is 21 and he is riding for Roubaix Lille Métropole. If I had to define his riding style I would say he is like Thomas Voeckler but younger and not that best.
Race Report : Tour of Quatar
Pre-Race:
We are coming here to get at list one victory with Nacer, It's also a race where we'll see what lead out train we must do for him and who should be in it.
We don't have great ambition in the GC because of that Team Time Trial where we might lose time on the other sprinters.
Stage 01
Like every stage in this race, this was a flat stage with lots of wind, we did our best to protect Nacer and in the end he thanks us by getting a great victory.

Stage 02
As it was a TTT, I was not authorized to wear my Champion Jersey and it really didn't matter to me. We left last and we made an incredible intermediate time, and in the end we took a surprising second position in the stage Ranking. Cannondale Pro Cycling did the best time but it was not enough to take the jersey from Nacer's shoulders.
Stage Ranking:
1 | Cannondale Pro Cycling | 11'24 | 2 | Équipe Cycliste FDJ.fr | + 13 | 3 | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 4 | Bauknecht - Author | + 35 | 5 | TEAM Lotto - Telenet | s.t. | 6 | Drapac Cycling | + 47 | 7 | Sutter Home - Qhubeka | s.t. | 8 | Orica - GreenEdge | + 55 | 9 | Lafarge - Oasis | s.t. | 10 | Team Europcar | + 1'08 | 11 | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 12 | Litex | + 1'19 | 13 | Iberia - Sony Ericsson | s.t. | 14 | Garmin - Sharp | + 1'23 | 15 | Champion System Pro Cycling Team | + 1'24 | 16 | Lampre - Merida | s.t. |
Stage 03
As we had the jersey, it was our work to control the breakaway, with Dario Bauer we were controlling the pace but when you had a strong wind coming from front it's hard to do.
When the other sprinters team started to work with us it was easier as there was some recuperation time in the wheels of the front men.
We made our sprint train for Nacer but once again Nacer had his problem of positioning in the last kilometers, he was the strongest but the others were already gone. Matt Goss won the stage, Nacer took the 4th position and he kept his jersey.
