Trade a 1st and Tyler Bertuzzi for Myers? +/- a few different draft picks and maybe Almquist? Ristolainen is better than Myers or will be anyway, imo and Myers is a great fit for Detroit actually, plus I dont want him on Vancouver.

But according to what I'm hearing it would cost Mantha + Jurco/Tatar + 1st rounder, possibly more. Not sure if I'm ready to do that.
If Im Detroit I keep hold of Tatar forever. Mantha is also very good. Jurco is an asset you could move, but I think you need him now.
Bertuzzi is basically a B+ version of Mantha if Mantha is an A+ version of himself and Almquist gives Buffalo another Top 4 potential defenceman plus a first. I think its going to be harder to get a better deal than that for Myers who is basically a #2 defenceman at best.
I always knew Quincey was a fallback option. That's just...great..

So that means about $5M left to re-sign Alfie, which should be more than enough.

Yeah Cleary is back! So the Wings have 2 spots left: hopefully for Tatar and DeKeyser. Leaving Alfredsson with option to sign but it would cost the Wings because Jurco would have to go back to the AHL to start the year. So another Nyquist scenario like we had last season. Just great...
To be fair Holland did have a verbal agreement with Dan about a deal this year tho. From a character standpoint the guy is just awesome. Stays in Detroit for dirt cheap. Can see him in management any day now . He made 1.75 last year. This year it's 1.5 + 1M for performance (in this case, is games played ) And starting the year in the AHL means nothing..wait for it, wait for it, INJURIES!
Anyhow Holland hasn't made an offer to Alfie yet as he usually takes his time to sign his RFAs first. But assuming he can give it another year I'm seeing it like this, agree?
