In the Dutch Cup final where PEC Zwolle beat Ajax 5-1 the Ryan Thomas guy who scored the first two goals for Zwolle is a 19yr old from New Zealand. He has only played one game for All Whites against Japan so what an experience it was for him.

So... a bit late I guess, I went through an inactive period on this forum, but congrats to PEC for winning the KNVB cup, congrats to Ajax for winning the title for the fourth year in a row, and congrats to Jon Dahl Tomasson for legitimately f***ing up Roda.

So this is it lads... Roda and Ajax both have to win to make NEC relegate directly, which means Roda will go to the promotion/relegation play-offs. I'm hoping for a happy end but my feelings say we're already relegated. I guess we'll see what happens.

I still can't believe it. 41 years of Eredivisie in a row, but history doesn't tell anything anymore. Nowadays it's the worst team that relegates, and Roda was clearly the worst this year. We deserved to relegate, but it will be devastating to hear a radio commercial saying you can buy tickets for Roda JC - FC Emmen... I hope we can make a new start in the First Division next year, so we can return to the highest level with a bright look at things.
Love knows no division. Whether it's a win, a loss or a tie, I'm Roda till I die! We'll be coming back at the top level guys, I can assure you that.

A consolation is that the JL is a better competition to watch than the Eredivisie. The level is lower, but the games are more fun and there are some fantastic goals made every week.

Ridiculous... Heerenveen 10 minutes with 10 man on the field... Van Basten to the locker room as Joey van den Berg is/was injured and had to get some stitches...
