I have read Fröhlinger is rumoured to go to Skil - Shimano along with R.Kluge.
At least the Team Manager said he cant confirm nor deny the rumours. |

Fröhlinger is not sure yet. At first everything looked like it`s the Lux team now he said that he is in contact with several teams and it needn`t be a Pro Tour team.
So let`s wait which way he will decide.
Same Gerdemann and Knees, nothing signed yet, |

For what I know, Markus Fothen may retire. He has pretty much been standing still the last 5-6 years now.
And I am a bit surprised by Daniel Navarro - he really has the strength to be a team captain - but appearantly he finds it more worth being Contador's liutenant.

Schlecks are saying on Twitter that they will be part of the new team of Brian Nygaard and Kim Andersen in 2011. Already known, but now confirmed.

Well, Evans out last year, Van Avermaet, Moreno and Hoste this year. So yea, they have a lot of spare money. Although Hoste didn't do shit this year, you can count on it he was in the top 3 of best payed riders at Lotto.

Riis hasn't announced any signings other than the spanish contingent yet.
Fédrigo hasn't renewed with BBox.
Riis has chased Fédrigo heavily for years and made offers in the past.
I wonder.

The reason QuickStep hadn't announced the signing of Riccò even though Riccò had signed a contract is that they still had to check with the sponsor.
Sponsor said no.
Riccò signed with Vacansoleil.
Can you say "no GT invites"?
Anyway, this is no surprise at all, since that's exactly where Vacansoleil stands on doping.

QS has lost a great opportunity. Perhaps not want to be competitive in the GT |

Vacansoleil are also completely forgetting their Dutch identity and now blindly buying foreign leaders from everywhere.
I was enthousiastic when they started, with riders like Traksel, Mouris, Hoogerland, Poels, Westra, etcetera...
But now it's becoming a mix of nationality freakshow like Unibet in the past, with guys like Ricco, Devolder, Leukemans, Carrara, Bozic, Feilly, Marcato etc etc leading the team next year.
Bah.
Always the same with Hilaire van der Schueren. F*ck him. |

So Ricco buys himself out of his Flaminia contract in the hope of riding for the Vuelta. Now he has no team for the rest of the year.
And for 2011, he signs for a team that the Grand Tours were already ignoring this year.
You gotta love his intellect

Even if he signed at Quickstep, he wouldn`T had riden the Vuelta. It was too late for this year`s Vuelta. So he normally had enough time for finding a team with realistic chances for the GT`s next year, but he signed at Vacansoleil. I`d like to see his face when they aren`t invited |

To be fair to him, Vacansoleil was his last option.
The other possibility was Unzué's team, but the sponsor said no.
Speaking of which, Unzué's confirmed they've already got everything set with Valverde for 2012

I do not know why you are so happy. If Ricco does not participate in the GT next year will be a great defeat for cycling ... we would not see a great champion. |
