No I did not had any camp for Cioni...AI was timing he's form perfectly for Giro (there isnt any other option beside to send Cioni to Giro)..aim top 10 place..let Cunego,Simoni and Di Luca go at mounatin stages..and fight with riders for he's league..like Caucchioli (he is maybe a little to strong for me), Nocentini, Popo..second group after Giro stars..and try take back some time with TT-s. I was very pessimistic before Giro..but just be patient and you will take max of Cioni..(I was extremly lucky 6th. is superb result). |

Startlist:
Some of tour favorites just cant stop..after TdF. Evans was at first in the startlist decided to let him home..to preapeare for Vuelta (he doesn't know that yet)..and give leader role for Horner.
Also we have back lot of Giro main figures..I wonder if any of them will ride in Vuelta also. (Caucchioli, Di Luca, Piepoli, Bruseghin, Savoldelli)
Moreau is back after surprise that he passed this year TdF

Stage 1
Saarbruecken - Saarbruecken
Its time to weak up for TdF charm..season continous. Deuch tour...we cant everything there. Moments for sprinters..one great climbing stage..ang long TT. First stage is for sprinters...Steels isnt he's top shape..but gonna be still main man on that stage.
Zabala opens sprint for Valverde..Steels are to behind he cant find himself a perfect place..
Narrow rode..and sharp corners has demanded first crash victom..FDJeux leader McGee is down.
Valverde still leading..but probably he was to early at the front...when they crosses bridge Haussler, Ventoso, Steels, Hushovd, Greipel and Bazajev has started to cach him.
Hushovd takes stage win..finaly some result for creat sprinter. TdF was total disaste for him.

Stage 3
Pforzheim - Offenburg
Before most important hugh mounatin top finish we have to run two "classic" type stages.
Last mounatin check point...Gutierrez and Sanchez Gonzales atack..Horner follows...
..fake...they just wanted to get mountain classification points...and Horner let peloton cach himself eather.
Last small hill before finish..Steels has no longer on that group..team manager had "flash" idea..to try reward Predictor-Lotto real talent van den Broeck. Come on young man ..go and try to take a win.
peloton is coming..1km. to go.Just in case but everything you have left Jürgen to secure that win...This is it..season second high point for van den Broeck after TdF ticket Now he have also Deuch tour stage win..I'm gonna offer for him at least 3 year contract.

Stage 4
Singen - Sonthofen
Last hill-sprinters stage before climbing and TT stage.
Valverde and Andy atacks..at the last climb..Valverde is strong he get small gap and leading a race by now.
Gutierrez ,Horner and Moreau trying to follow..Horner caching Schleck..Valverde is out of he's league today.
Strong duo..Andy and Horner trying to keep clear at peloton chase...maybe cache Valverde?..no way.
Valverde wins the stage..and takes the yellow from Disco team.
Horner beats Sndy Schleck in final sprint..but this is also end of he's benefit list today. Peloton is just behind them..no time advantage today.

Stage 1
Briviesca - Medina de Pomar
Sprinters...Zanini is our sprint hope, van Avermat is back up..plan.
Zanini has difficulty to follow van Avermaet pull..and his morale is realy low...van Avermaet will be our hope today.
3 green riders are front..who dont know who they are..continental team LANDBOUWKREDIET - TONISSTEINER..we need to admire continental team's good shape..most of the protour sprinters looks so tyred
Great day for Tonissteiner double win. James Vanlandschoot will be anounced after photofinish has stage winner..and tour leader. van Avermaet 3rd..I like situation when leader fails and someone else will step up..good ride

Stage 5
Sonthofen - Sölden
Last 15km. is grazy climb..where we will decide riders who compete for podium places. Suffering climb for sprinters
And there we exatctly are..Valverde atacks away from peloton and he has gone..4 riders (Di Luca, Horner, Moreau and Garate) works hard together..but no chanche Valverde is Deuch. tour dominator...Evans should realy afraid him when Vuelta mountain stages come.
Soon they have 8 man group..Gerdemann, Schumacher, Andy Schleck, Valjavec, Zubeldia coming back...with second atack wave.
No one cant stop Valverde..he is superb form. Only hope is that he had pushing to much yourself before Vuelta and dont gonna last thrue the end.
Schleck fast relays make chaser's group suffer..Horner had difficulty but he fights thrue the end. Di Luca isnt so lucky..he cant folow and drops in final km. Still if Di Luca gonna aim for Vuelta..all looking good middle of august.
Now it is just TT left to decide final GC..before sprinters show
Good news..Horner holding for now 3rd. place in GC..he's gonna need perfect TT to keep it this way

Yeah well it's a pretty good performance by Horner, I'm not sure he could do that in real life though
