1. FCK has decided to use the pitch for a lot of different things lately, making the grass look terribly most of the time.
2. Well. Actually, I think more "champions" should be "directly" qualified to "Champions" League instead of letting 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd places take part directly. They should be the ones who had to qualify through the qualification round. |

Any of you portugese guys know anything about a kid named Antunes, as my club Roma have just bought him.
19 year old fullback.
very solid defensively yet very attacking. played for Paços de Ferreira.
half of europe were after him but he didn't agree terms with anyone. Juventus offered him a huge contract but he still wouldn't go because they wanted to loan him out.
he was called up to the senior national squad but didn't play for some reason. he's been playing for the u-21 team even though he is the best portuguese left back at the moment (although he doesn't have much competition for that title).
if he's well coached, he could become a huge player. if not, he could be a dud.
his attitude is great. even with so many clubs after him, he never demanded a transfer, always kept his feet on the ground and behaved professionally.
if your coaching staff "click" with him, you could have an immense player after a few years of improvement.

after 1995/1996 that stopped unfortunately...
I still remember when Dinamo Kyiv, Panathinaikos, and even Legia Warsow regularly got to the later stages.
how I can remember this despite the age I was is beyond me

if they pay the 40 million the club want, they can try to convince him that he's wrong in not wanting to leave no matter the club

Barcelona had Werder Bremem in their group the last 2 years which was gay because i think they won 2/4 or the games
i think it's either Group E or Group G that's the group of death this year

I'm looking at three-team groups. Rosenborg, Rangers and Dynamo will pretty much do nothing...
Schalke on the other hand are at Stuttgart's level

Damn good for us they aren't, otherwise we wouldn't have much of a chance. We're all hoping for another game like the one against Man U in 04 against Barcelona this year

so Pepe now has a portuguese passport (he's lived here since he was 16) and he's been called up to the national team. he rejected Brazil's call up because "I've lived in Portugal since I was 16. This is my country"
naturally, because he played for Porto, everyone else is already bitching that "he's not worthy", just as they did with Deco...
"strange" how they never bitch when it's a player from some other club.....like....oh...I don't know...let's say....Petit, Manuel da Costa, Manuel Fernandes, Miguel, Makukula, Nélson....
etc

Eto’o out for at least 8 weeks
Samuel Eto’o’s injury against Inter Milan last night will see him sidelined for up to 8 weeks, although doctors have yet to fully decide on his treatment.
Eto’o was forced off after just two minutes on the pitch last night when he tore a tendon in his right thigh as he shot for goal. The club doctors have been examining the Cameroon striker and earlier today released the following statement:
“Samuel Eto’o suffered a partial tear of the tendon in the rear of his right thigh during last night’s game. The injury has been confirmed by tests carried out today at the Clínica Asepeyo in Sant Cugat. The correct treatment for the player’s recovery will be determined over the next few hours and a decision made as to whether any surgical intervention is needed. In any case, treatment is expected to keep the player out of training for eight weeks”.
nice
might as well let Real Madrid have the title now
