I wonder the time of Mollema on the second part of the climb and that one of Froome. Think Mollema was even faster than Froome on that second part.
Mollema rode his own speed and didn't blow up himself. That's why he passed everyone in the last kilometer.
Yes I understand that, but that would still give some nice light on his performance. |

Someone who is second in Tour du Suisse and 4th in the first really hard climb stage can't be 77 Mo off course.
Mollema deserves better in the future db, I even think he can do better...
Ten Dam was also great last year in Vuelta...
There is a stat discussion thread you know!
https://www.pcmdai...wstart=100
But Alakagom(stat-maker) saw this as well, so not sure if necassary to bring up

Mollema's and Ten Dam's insane performances make me slightly disturbed and concerned. |

He's like Dan Martin. A superb climber, but lacks consistency.

Doesn't Ten Dam have usually one or two great days? |

Ten Dam was already seventh in last year's Vuelta. The Tour is of a higher level, but probably because he has a better role?

Yeah. Ten Dam is a strong climber a few stages per year anyway. Though this was really, really good.

I don't see any influence coming from there. |

Ten Dam always has strong days in the beginning of a GT. He'll weaken soon enough.
Mollema is mr consistency and has been finishing 2nd,3rd4,4th or 5th in almost every mt stage this season. Only in the Tirreno he couldn't cope with Sky pace and blew up. That's when he started focussing on a doing long high speed intervals uphill to get used to the Sky train.
He rode his own pace pretty quickly today which was the key. Mollema will probably hold this level for 3 weeks and finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th now. |

Well, thank you kindly
I think the only difference now between myself and most of others here, while they hate every second of it, I can't but help laugh at it all, I find it too hilarious now
