The situation was brought to a head at the World Cup round in Zolder on Friday when Boom eased up rather than chase after a breakaway which contained his fellow Dutchman Thijs Al, even though the two are on different trade teams.
The partisan crowd booed Al and Boom, but the top Belgian, Nys, called up his compatriots to form a coalition against the Dutchmen. "Lars made the decision to hold back the riders he didn't want to see win. It was impossible to work together with him today. For us Belgians, he is a mutual enemy so we'd better tackle him all together," Nys said after the race in Zolder.
Children. Bitchy Whiny children all of them.
Stop crying and ride.
"boo-hoo, he was born the opposite side of an arbitrary imaginary line from me. I hate him because of it"

He said in a dutch newspaper that he wanted to do well in Loenhout and Baal.

yea. That counts for all the riders. there are few who can perform during the entire season.
but have you read what albert wants to do on the WC
1) ride of himself
2) ride for his team (simunek)
3) ride for the belgian team...

@Ruben:
Lars Boom viert zijn 23e verjaardag in
Loenhout, waar de vijfde manche van de
GvA-trofee op het menu staat. Boom won
vorig jaar in Loenhout en wil graag
opnieuw op het hoogste schavot staan.
"Zondag in Diegem ging ik niet voluit
omdat ik op het bevroren parcours geen
enkel risico wilde nemen. Maar Loenhout
is toch wat anders, zelfs al vriest
het. Ik ga daar altijd voor de zege."

It's saying it's Boom's birthday today, and he'd like to win in Loenhout again.
In diegem he didnt go flat out because the course was frozen, and he didnt want to take any risk. But loenhout is different. frozen or not, he wants to win. |

Poor Boom. He put too much power on the pedals. |

Please tell me he told Sporza it's not serious. Please tell me that. I don't want a WC being dominated by the Belgians. |
