im not 100% convinced Gerrans is the right move. maybe for a year to get them started and if that was the case, then that'll play by me. but i would have rathered reading GreenEdge signing Michael Matthews or some other young gun rather than Gerrans. i just may get bagged for that but each to their own haha

Gerrans is a great move. He brings experience to the team, and as quoted in the article, was in both Cervelo TT and Sky's opening squad. And he is a good rider in himself, winning the Tour of Denmark earlier this year, and winning stages in all three GTs.

Well, it's not like Green Edge can build whatever team they want. Gerrans is good, he is available, Matthews is good, but is under contract with a team that he has been successful at. Evans is good, and has the best team support he's ever had, and is getting paid a lot of money, and has had his 2 most successful seasons of his career. It's not like Green Edge is the end all be all. They don't even have a license yet. I have a feeling that Green Edge are biting off more than they can chew. A bit like Sky and Leopard, but with more underdeveloped talent.

I agree somewhat, and I do realise that I come off as very biased, but there are more riders to come. Aside from that, even if the riders they have signed are the best riders that they will sign, they will still come close to getting a license. And although that they aren't getting the greatest of Aussie Talent, they still might get the likes of McEwen, Goss, Howard, and other similar riders, and Porte next transfer season. They were also helped by the breaking up of HTC, as they can chase, and undoubtly will end up, with some of their riders.
Overall, they look like that they might have a strong classics showing in future, with the young guns they've signed.

It would.... but amount of speculations about riders is just..... looks like Gazetta reporting Pinotti has signed for BMC.

Yep, and De Telegraaf is reporting that Martin to QS is a done deal.
On the amount of speculations, I'd say is the same every year. Maybe this year there's a bit more because of the folding of HTC, which leaves 20+ riders free, and the OP-Lotto split, but nothing really special.

I wonder why Martin says the TT equipment is important for him and then should sign with Quickstep. I just hope that was a rumour, Quickstep is a no-go like Leopard imo.

Last season, we had Andy Schleck, Frank Schleck, Fabian Cancellara, Alberto Contador, Denis Menchov, among others, switching teams. Can't have two transfer windows like that in a row |

Gilbert's manager is talking with Lefevre,
It look likes Quick-step isn't out of the question
And Gilbert's manager said that "Gilbert would have stayed with OmegaPharma - Lotto if the team didn't split up.

L'Equipe says Gilbert to BMC is a done deal. Not the biggest surprise. |
