Haha Guido, I saw Mandri as a prospect a few years back when he did a good Vuelta. I even made him potential 6 back then.
Too bad he hasn't improved
I started a career with only Estonian riders not too long back in PCM by the way |

Interesting stage today. Time for some riders to cling back some selfesteem. Could it be a stage for Urán to go out and take some mountainpoints? Perhaps with Ardila?
In the end the stage is suited for Cunego me thinks. Or perhaps Garzelli og Scarponi.

Todays' profile is something like Clasica San Sebastian or Giro di Lombardia. No chance for the sprinters, maybe a breakaway will win again. |

But the style of racing in Grand Tours is different for these type of stages than a classic, so you are drawing the wrong comparison.

I don´t think that a breakaway will win again because Cunego and some others want to win some time they lost the stages before or will go for a stage win

it's going to be interesting if guys like cunego, garzelli or scarponi attack. too bad van hummel isn't here. he'd be capable to win a mountain stage looking at this crazy giro. |

I know the style is different: conserving forces for the important stages, bla bla, but I was talking only about the profile.
Cunego can go for a breakaway if the peloton will let him |

Why shouldn't they let him? Let him kill himself in a long solo. Only losing a minute or so on him...

Closing in on the "big" climb today. Do you think that we will see any action there by some of the riders who have lost 10+ mins already?

I noticed that Tiralonga has abandoned, which is surely a big loss for Vino. He is the kind of rider even in his best days (full doping ) on top 'form' who had bad days in the mountains and I would have said that Tiralonga would have been a really good helper.
Beginning to look like these two have a real shot of winning todays stage - fairly equally matched I would say.
Really looking forward to the weekend stages btw!

If break will finish in front of the pack, I hope Lloyd'll win it. |
