Nice.
That was great. Contador had his whole team blowing up the race at the front and got himself dropped
Like i've said a ton of times, Alberto's one weakness is a complete lack of stamina. Today there was a strong headwind and he had his team pulling on the front for a long time. Plus he exerted himself a lot at the start getting time bonuses, which also contributed greatly.
Result=kaboom. he finished behind Duque.
Also, lol @ Radioshack. Brajkovic, Armstrong and Popovych all out the back early. Machado in a great position to win the GC tomorrow and Hermans doing very very well!
Talk about bipolar.

I was hoping for Flecha to win while Boonen and Fabian pulled a Coppi e Bartoli, but no luck.
Well, anyway, Wevelgem should be good tommorow. |

I'd just like to once again big myself up for spotting Hermans in a good lot of form this year, and putting him in the Bet for the overall.
Pity I didn't see Machado

at first happy bday, Roman !
when Contador dropped, everyone looked little bit confussed, Evans was looking back after each 5 seconds
when 4 km was left, i thought "what a waste of 15 km... , but these suprising 3km changed all |

This is very odd. The official site has much smaller time differences on GC than the ones that actually happened on the road.

He just had an off-day, nothing else.
Great win by BBox though |

You really don't know ANYTHING about cycling, do you?
By that logic, Sastre can't possibly have won the Tour de France, since he's not great in the time trial.
So many of your posts are an embarrassment

good recovery, not stamina. he is always best at the stages with just summit finishes, no tough climbs before. He was in trouble on the hardest stages in the tour last year. he showed his lack of stamina in paris nice as well. and in 2007, it was the stages with lot's of climbs where rasmussen dropped him.

Contador is the best GT rider at the moment because he's the most adapted to the state of the art in route making, relatively short time trials and never more than three major climbs in mountain stages.
If Contador had to compete 20 years ago, with those insane mountain stages and +60kms timetrials, I could almost bet he'd get slaughtered (which doesn't take away from his obvious qualities - his change of pace is really amazing, and his climbing prowess is undeniable).
Now, I'll be looking forward to see what Tiago Machado can achieve tomorrow. |

He says himself: "Dia duro,la alergia ha aperecido,ha sido una pena no entrar con los primeros por mis compañeros, ahora recuper "
About stamina, I know he is no Merckx or anything but complete lack of stamina? I just don't agree, that's all. No need to be upset because people have different opinions.... |

Yes, Contador reported on twitter.
Like I said before, the harsch winter makes the explosion of allergies much much worse this year |

It's really not a crappy excuse. I have the same allergy and it's really much worse this year.
Makes it hard to breath and exercise. It's easy for you to say, but I doubt you know how such an allergy affects your performance.
In fact, it's more a crappy understanding from you, than a crappy excuse.
I'm not a Contador fan, but I don't like how people who only love to see him fall react everytime

And he is not the only rider, Menchov was forced to abandon the Catalunya because of an allergy. There might be a few other reasons but an allergy is definitly really annoying. |

I have the same allergy and a ton of riders do, too. It's only a problem if you fail to hydrate properly.

David Millar is only 25 sec back. Could have a good result for him as well!!! Dan Martin also a good ride. How about Ben Hermans for Radioshack there??? WOW! |
