And with Boasson Hagen doing that well in Poland, Norway will almost for sure have 9 riders in the World Championships, and countries like The Netherlands and France will have 6 riders each. What the F*** are Norway going to do with 9 riders in the worlds? Almost everyone will be catched with one lap, except Hushovd, EBH, Arvesen and maybe Rasch... |

same can be said for GB. i'm guessing we'll have a full quota of riders after our form this season. |

No, only the Giro for him this year. He'll go to the tour next year. |

You don't have a clue about Norwegian cycling. So stop talking about it. |

Well doesnt that apply to you as well really?
Seriously, apart from the four johnnyjur mentioned, you will be hard pressed to find any riders that can finish on the same lap as the winners during the WC. At least France and the Netherlands can actually produce nine riders who can actually make a difference at some point.

Well duh. Also notice the CQ ranking, top 10 scoring riders of each country instead of just top 5, plus taking into acount all professional races, like it should be:
1. (1) Esp Spain Europe Riders 12064
2. (2) Ita Italy Europe Riders 12045
3. (4) Ger Germany Europe Riders 8484
4. (3) Bel Belgium Europe Riders 7564
5. (5) Aus Australia Oceania Riders 7116
6. (6) Fra France Europe Riders 6639
7. (9) Usa United States America Riders 5502
8. (8) Rus Russia Europe Riders 5207
9. (7) Ned Netherlands Europe Riders 4915
10. (15) Gbr Great Britain Europe Riders 4366
11. (12) Den Denmark Europe Riders 4189
12. (10) Sui Switzerland Europe Riders 3965
13. (13) Slo Slovenia Europe Riders 3373
14. (11) Lux Luxembourg Europe Riders 2942
15. (18) Nor Norway Europe Riders 2772
that's norway's place. They score 2000 CQ points less than the Netherlands, that's a top 5 rider on the CQ ranking less. See the difference? It's huge.

We are all aware that there wont be that many norwegian riders finishing on the same lap. But, still, even if Nordhaug, Remme etc. wont last more than maybe 150 km, them being there will let Rasch and Hushovd (who will most likely ride as a team mate) "relax" until there is 100 km left, instead of having to work the whole way. That might lead to Arvesen and Hagen having team mates with them the whole race, and thus having a better chance.
You don't actually need to finish to be of good use, or to make a difference. |

That's what they're saying and that Goldberger is contesting
According to Golberder there are several more norwegians who will finish.

I missed the stage
Nice win though. He's odds on for the GC now

It might be just me, but reading the last page I couldn't actually find anyone (besides the rather charmingly optimistic Goldberger) who thought those extra 6 men would make a difference. |

Nice win though. He's odds on for the GC now It was a boring stage, you didn't miss anything.
Break away, break caught, some small attacks that didn't reach further than 50m. Hagen wins sprint.

How do you see the last stage panning out? Hagen says he will give his all to win the overall, but will he be able to win the stage with sprinters like Davis there? Also, how will Greipel ride tomorrow? I know that you don't know, I just ask some questions that can be debated |

EBH says the team will ride for him on tomorrow's stage, instead of riding for Greipel. |

Well, this certainly doesn't lessen the interest other teams have for EBH. |

Is it possible to sense that someone is not happy because a little nation like Norway is in front of Holland and will have 9 men in the WC while Holland will have 6?
Well done by Boasson Hagen, it's going to be close for the overall now.. |

Thor Hushovd has actually said himself that Norway don't need 9 riders in WC. |
