And the next positive is....

You do know that isso's name of "Resident Moron" is like one of them nicknames like 'skinny' for a real fat guy, or 'peanut' for a guy with a massive cojones.

He is actually very well informed on pretty much everything with the exception of things that shouldn't exist, like curling.

All I'm saying is don't be fooled into thinking he's stupid, when he speaks, he usually knows what he's on aboutWink

That was too nice towards isso, too biased. I like how you name is an anagram of 'outran', and isso, you're rubbish at curling knowledge.

Not this time though.

I dare to say noone here is better informed on Basque cycling and Euskaltel than me.

Agree completely with you Deda.

Iban Mayo 2 year ban has finished, does anyone know if he is returning back to the peleton.

In april there were rumours of yes, but now it seems he is fed up with professional cycling. Still cycles for fun (has his own Zikloturista among others) but does not want to take up cycling for real again.

Its a pity, another big hero I will never see again Sad

He's tending to his private businesses, one in restauration and one in transportation. He's not likely to come back, thank god.

Doubt your source about his jobs is correct by the way... Says enough about you being informed very well by just taking over some shouts at another forum.

And why thank god? He has had his sentence of two years so he is absolutely free to join the peloton again so shut up with your stupid comments. Can't stand that behavior of you, I know more people of your type, pretending to be the truth themselves.

Another forum?

Gee, I had no idea an interview with the man himself on ETB was considered "another forum" Rolling Eyes

Of course. I pretend to be the truth. Shame on me for pointing out facts. I should be more like you, posting factual inaccuracies and calling them god's word, plus insulting anyone who disagrees with you.

I'm done with you. Consider this the last time I'm responding to anything you post. Meanwhile, feel free to continue to post pseudo-facts.

Apologize for this. Sincerely Embarassed

Do you have a link for that interview because I am really interested. Reason why I reacted like this was because I read the same story today on cyclingnews forums. Bit of a stupid reply from me.

Though the second part still stands firm, I hate your attitude towards doped or previously doped riders who got their suspension.
Guess I won't get my link now though.

That was a rumour I heard somewhere, cannot recall where. But I am afraid its over with his career. He said when he was suspended directly that if justice did not happen (that is: when he was not going to be cleared) he would stop cycling. I am now desperately searching for any news concerning Iban Mayo, my big hero, but I cannot find the slighest.

Having said that, I find some interviews from 2008 and I get more and more the feeling that he indeed was not treated right. Everyone knows his case was not a standard case and it took a year before he got his final suspension, but when I read this interview (https://www.deia.com/es/impresa/2008/07/12/bizkaia/kirolak/482611.php) I feel so sorry for him, because this is not the way dopers react on their suspension a year afterwards. He was (in the Tour 2008) still waiting on the final verdict of the CAS, desperately waiting. He was so lost and feeling useless, didn't watch the live coverage of the Tour because he couldn't do so without being hurt from the inside. Though he would watch the Pyrenees stages because of all the fans that were there. He was at that point still training every day because he still believed he would get his clearing. He was waiting for the message every day. It is actually a heartbraking piece of text without wanting to sound too emotional.

But whatever he does, he will be a big person for me. Hope he will do well in future with whatever he is doing or planning to do. Still hope to meet the guy somewhere in future...

I think you idolizing and support of cheaters who ruin cycling says a lot about you Arnout.

I think it was big of you to apologize to everyone about you being wrong with all your posts though. That showed some character.

Mayo tests positive, gets temporary ban, than has his b-sample come back positive, and finally gets the usual two-year ban.

How was he not treated right? This reminds me of the old story of the man who is caught robbing a bank. When he's called to the witness stand during his trial, he admits to what he has done, but asks for leniency. When the judge asks why, the robber responds that "I've had a horrible time in custody, they treat me like I'm a criminal or something."
