Stage 2 : Davis - Santa Rosa

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/breakaway-5.jpg

The breakaway

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprinttrains.jpgi636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprinttrains2-1.jpg

Our sprint train seems to be in the best position!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/5kmtogo.jpg

Only 5 km to go and everything works great today.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/thesprintbegins-1.jpg

The sprint begins but Farrar had no energy left so only Zabriskie and Friedman were there.
So Friedman tries to come out of Zabriskie´s slipstream.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/friedmanmakeshismove.jpg

So Mike came out and made his own move. His speed and power looks great. Why the hell he is such a good sprinter? Grin

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/hinaultisinfront.jpg

Hinault is in front and Mike tries to get the slipstream of Tom Boonen.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/boonenwinsfriedmanthird.jpg

Boonen takes the stage win in front of Hinault and Mike Friedman.
Fantastic stage of Mike. His speed as he made his move was unbelievable.

Stage 3 : Sausalito - Santa Cruz

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-6.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/breakaway-6.jpg

Today´s breakaway

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/favoritesattack.jpg

There were many favorites who attacked on the last "climb".For example Gerdemann , Boom , Sanchez , Vande Velde , Di Luca and Nocentini.
These are only a few of them.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/leadinggroupaftertheclimb.jpg

And this is the leading group after the climb. Gerdemann, Sanchez and Sutherland.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/thefirstchasinggroup.jpg

The first chasing group within Boom , Chavanel , Di Luca and Egio Martinez

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/thesecondchasinggroup.jpg

And here is the second chasing group with Vande Velde and Rinaldo Nocentini. They tried everything to come to the front.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/thesprint-1.jpg

But they didn´t reach them so the sprint begins and Sutherland can´t keep up with Gerdemann and Sanchez.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sanchezinfrontofgerdemann.jpg

So it´s a fight between the german and the spanish olympic champion.
The winner is Samuel Sanchez!Well done.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprintofthesecondgroup.jpg

this is the sprint of the second group and here ....

It seems that our train is in a good position!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ourtraincomesreallyfast.jpg

Only 4 km to go this is an amazing sprint preparation today.Friedman leads out Farrar.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/friedmanandfarrar.jpg

Friedman is still in front but Farrar prepares his move!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/farrartakesthestagewin.jpg

Fantastic stage win by Farrar. What a great lead out by Friedman.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/friedmanisthird.jpg

Farrar is actually in front but he is loosing a lot of his speed at the moment.
