Amgen Tour of California Stage 1
The new Aussie Champion, Michael Rogers, started his tour with a great time
First race of the season for Robert Gesink and he didn't have a bad time, but not a great one either
Cancellara is the best man in the World when it comes to TTs and he showed it again today
Kirchen is one of the favourites to take the overall win this year and he didn't lose too much time to Cancellara
The Dutch Champion, Lars Boom, had a great day and he was only 10 seconds slower than Cancellara
Hincapie is just another one of the strong men from Columbia, but he wasn't able to beat Cancellara either so the Swiss and Olympic Champion take the win

Tour of California Stage 2
Rolland was the biggest name in the breakaway and it seems that he will take the KoM jersey at the end of the day
The stage looks like going to end in a mass sprint
Freire is trying to find the best wheel to follow and it seems that it found it behind Miche's train
With 2km to go Freire is in a good position, but Cavendish and O'Grady are close
One kilometre to go and Freire makes his move. Cav and O'Grady are still tehre
It looks like going to be Cav vs. Freire as O'Grady is slowing down
This is going to be very close cause Cavendish is very fast in the last metres
But Freire was strong enough to keep the lead and he takes the win
With 20 seconds of bonifications Freire also takes the yellow jersey from Cancellara

After a great Vuelta a Mallorca, Juanma Garate returns in Spain for Vuelta a Andalucia, but only as a liutenant for Denis Menchov. In his preparation for the Grand Tour of the year, Giro d'Italia, Menchov will have his first race of the season here in Spain. It's a race with some climbs on the road and a TT in the first stage as well.
Menchov is the big favourite of the race, but riders like Valverde, Simoni or Gomez Marchante could have also an important role.
For the sprints Cervelo seems to be the best team as they brought Hushovd and Haussler here, but Duque and our CT team star, Theo Bos, are also important riders.
Team for Vuelta a Andalucia:
1. Denis Menchov
2. Bram De Groot
3. Juan Manuel Gárate
4. Sebastian Langeveld
5. Koos Moerenhout
6. Joost Posthuma
7. Laurens Ten Dam
8. Jos Van Emden

Vuelta a Andalucia Stage 1
Valverde was the first rider to start today and he came with a pretty good time
Posthuma was one of the favourites today, but he didn't have a great day and he lost a few seconds to Valverde
Menchov started his season with a good ride, being faster than Valverde and taking the provisional lead
But Kiryienka was faster than Menchov, surprising everyone with that
Another strong rider from Caisse, Gutierrez was also faster than Denis, but not able to beat Kiryienka

Amgen Tour of California Stage 3
Geslin went is a solo breakaway which was basicaly suicide for him
There were no attacks on the final climb. Still only 27 maintain in the first group. Gesink, Flecha, Boom and Freire are there
Voigt and Gesink were first at the summit, but they didn't manage to make any gaps
So we had another group on the downhill leading. Boom, Cunego, Schleck and Hincapie.
On the downhill there's also a small uphill section, where Cunego and Schleck tried to get rid of Boom and Hincapie
But it only worked for Hincapie as Boom had no problems following them
As a counter attack to what Cunego and Schleck did Boom made as well an attack
And he managed to leave those 2 behind as Schleck did the chasing, but his downhill skills are not the best
With 5km to go they were caught back and now Boom is the only escape
But with 5km and almost one minute advantage I think he can make it
Great win for Boom, another win at the start of the season after the second stage in Qatar
O'Grady and Van Huffel lead the chasing group to the finish, 53 seconds down
Boom is the new leader of the race and he has over a minute advantage on Cancellara, who is still a big favourite for the TT
Lars is dominating the race at the moment. He is also the leader in the points and young rankings
Stage
1. Lars Boom Rabobank 4h20'37
2. Stuart O'Grady Team Saxo Bank + 53

Vuelta a Andalucia Stage 2
The stage is going to end in a mass sprint and it seems that Rabo and Cofidis will control it
4 Rabo riders there, but they are not from the same time as the CT team is here as well. Berkhout is leading Bos, followed by Langeveld and Van Emden
The big favourites of the day Cervelo, with Hushovd and Haussler seem to have miss the right position
In front it looks like the Rabo coalition had beaten the Cofidis train
But with a great acceleration, Usov comes really fast from behind to take the lead
All the Rabo riders are trying to catch him, but it doesn't look like going to happen
Usov takes a great win for Cofidis
Behind him, Langeveld managed a surprise beating Bos and Van Emden to take the second place
Kiryienka finished in the pack and he keeps the leader's jersey

Amgen Tour of California Stage 4
On the first climb, Gesink went to warm up a little bit
Behind him the pack was really stretched behind him and the good news is that Boom had no problems staying there. Haedo, on the other way doesn't seem going to be able to sprint today after that effort
The real breakaway was made after the climb
But thanks to Niermann, Martens and Weening they never managed to get a big advantage over the pack
The stage si going to end in a mass sprint and Freire is trying to keep an eye on Cavendish
But it seems that Columbia worked for Eisel, who is now in a very good position
Freire was stuck for an while behind, but now it seems that is gaining terrain
Less than one kilometre left and Eisel is still leading, with Ballan and Freire after him
This is going to be really close, but it seems that Freire already took the lead
It was indeed close but Freire gets the 3rd win in a row for Rabobank in California

Vuelta a Andalucia Stage 3
With 20 km to go on the last climb of the day, Langeveld attacked
He got away and stayed in front for ten kilometres, then he was caught
Which means that the stage will end up in mass sprint. Van Emden is trying to find the best position in the pack
Van Emden got Pardini's wheel but it doesn't seem like a good decision
In front Cofidis are leading for Usov but Hushovd and Bos are there too
1.5 left to ride and Usov is leading. Hushovd, Summer and Bos are following him
But inside the last kilometre Usov is losing speed and Hushovd seems to have got away for the stage win
Hushovd gets his revenge after yesterday's stage
And with the bonification seconds, Hushovd is the new leader of the race as well

Amgen Tour of California Stage 5
Rolland got in the breakaway and he won some points to get his KoM jersey back from Voigt
On the last climb Saxo Bank took the lead of the pack in order to give the escapes no chance for the victory today
There were some other victims as well, not only the escapes. Cavendish and Greipe, 2 of the 3 sprinters from Columbia, lost the contact with the pack and it seems imposible for them to get back
10 km to go and Flecha attacks from the pack
He is a great riders on this flat terrains and soon he had somewhere arround 20 seconds advatange
Saxo Bank are trying to get him back but it seems a lot harder than it was with the escapes
Flecha is about to enter the last kilometre and his advantage is pretty much the same, 20 seconds!
But the sprint started behind him and the pack is coming really fast. Freire doesn't seem to be interested cathing his own team - mate so he isn't there
4 wins in a row for Rabobank! After Freire and Boom is Flecha's time to get a stage win in California
the game crashed right after the replay so no exported results

Vuelta a Andalucia Stage 4
With 5km after only some riders survived the last climb, Langeveld tried an attack but it seems that Caisse doesn't want to let him go
He managed to have a little advantage untill he was caught right when he entered the last kilometre
Gutierrez and Haussler are there and with some bonifications Gutierrez could be the new leader
Last metres of the stage and Langeveld lost the lead to Haussler and Gutierrez
Haussler gets his first win of the season. Second in a row for Cervelo in Andalucia
