Good try from Milram with their train, too bad they started a little bit too early.
Hushovd opened up way too early, and Cav showed that he is worth the fact that he has succeded in 85%-90% of all his mass sprints this season, unbelieveable! |

I think Cervelo is holding back to help Sastre next week. Boonen just seems to be out of it this year. It might be lack of form, but one thing I've noticed is that Boonen hasn't been willing to fight for positioning in the tour this year. He keeps getting in the 20-25th spots but won't band elbows to move any higher. He didn't even sprint the last 150 meters today. |

QS aren't even in the Tour. They all stayed at home.
And nice reaction from Cav there when told this finished didn't suit him.

Cervelo I can understand. They have a GC guy to look after too.
Quickstep? If they aren't working for Boonen then who IS the team working for? I don't see anyone else that might need work done for them. |

Norwegian television says that some inside the Quick-Step team says that Boonen says nearly every day that this day he will go for the stage win, but when they come near to the finish, he's starting to be afraid. His mentality is not ready to fight in mass sprints in Tour de France..and then, why did QS fight so hard to bring him in? |

About Boonen..that last minut call is bad for mentality (I have seen that before in different sport).. Davis had been much better choice. |

What bothers me is that Quickstep aren't even trying. It's not like they're even sending people in breaks.
They're doing nothing

Yes he has, but when he is not capable to fight for top 5 in mass sprint, what was the point with bringing him instead of Davis? |

Thats the point I'm making, he seems afraid of bashing elbows up at the front of the field. I wondering if he is really lacking a good kick for some reason or another and doesn't want to embarrass himself. |

Davis would really have been much much better chouce. QS´s reputation will fall very quicly if they keep prefering past results to current ability.
I´m very much looking forward to know if they ever understand that Boonen is not invincible.

I think they´re sving energy to make the fastest badass train in Paris. Boonen still wont win thou but they can hope, they are really good at hoping.

Yes. Stupid people on internet forums.
But Eurosport commentators themselves said that Columbia DS said the finish might be better for Kirchen. I think they just succesfully fooled everyone.

Stapleton went round saying "this one's not for cav, it's for Kirchen" in a dire attempt to get other teams to work.

The thing that annoys me is, if it was Petacchi, Cipollini in the old days, or even Farrar and Hushovd in these times, who won 4 stages, 2 years in a row, I would be happy to applaud them.
But Cavendish, I feel nothing but solid dislike for the guy. He's just so goddamn arrogant. Get over yourself! |

I do quite agree. Stupid Cavendish. But at least Duque arrived 6th and yesterday 4, I think, that makes me happy.
