Why do you play in window mode? What programs are running besides the game?
Did you check your RAM and virtual memory? (When you play in window mode you should be able to check the consumed memory in TaskManager)
Did you check if the old Graphic-Card-Driver is deinstalled? |

You need to check the RAM while playing 3D, as the crashes happen there.
Does the game crash less often in window mode?
The best way to find out about the old driver: GOOGLE

Oh, one other thing I did was turn off SLI - the game was soooo unstable with SLI turned on it was unplayable. Not sure if you have SLI, but if you do it might help! |

You dont't have SLI because you have an ATI graphic card. As I have said before, GOOGLE can help you find out what SLI is.
About your problem. It could be that your virtual memory or hard disk is fragmented. |

to check virtual memory was useless.
A filled RAM will never cause a gamecrash. (learn your computersystems)
SLI doesn't have anythign to do with it unless you have 2 graphics cards installed
if you wanna know if itsyour graphics card , try to retrieve the errormessage generated and post it here.
Probably your graphics card is outdated; Yet the fact that you can play half stages points more to a memory leak somewhere
Or a conflict between 2 processess (most likely if they tend to use the same registery)

My specs are enought to play the game,i´m sure of that, problem is that i play a stage and when it´s almost at the end it crashes always...blue screen and i become already 2 diferent problems...
You have a bluescreen error(meaning that the computer has occured an error which is inrepairable e.g. division by 0, faulty hardware, etc). You should never install a game on an external harddrive.
why?
a) external hardrives aren't meant to run programs
b) As the connection is through hardware, it would take longer to load/play the game , increasing the risk on a memory leak or registry override
the game runs best when installed on hard drive of the computer itself.
though look for how many drivers of videocards you have installed
look not in directx but in your hardware list.
