It's the expansion pack, right?

Welcome to Snapper Point, the landscape has changed somewhat, it's hilly. I can see Willunga, and today, so will the riders. In fact they're climbing it twice.
Geslin is our best climber here, we'll try to use him and get a good position
After today we should know the winner of the 2009 Tour Down Under, i doubt it will be decided on the streets of Adelaide.
I'm getting slightly excited, lets go to the race report
40 degree heat, let's leave snapper point
Guesdon attacks at km0
Guesdon got caught, our new group has a lot of big names: Nuyens, Boonen and Ciolek amongst others
A nervous Ignatiev in the peloton
Quickstep are chasing, just like yesterday
Here we go, Willunga hill for the first time. Fans are out, this is the biggest bike race in Austalia.
Boasson Hagen is the king of Willunga for the first time over the top. 53km to go
Over the top of Willunga for the second time. Boonen is the second king on willunga. 20km to go.
With 5km to go, Boonen and Rodriguez are all alone, who will win?
But... Geslin is chasing.
Boonen wins the stage, but does he win the tour down under?
Boonen gets his moment on the podium.
It's not enough for Boonen. Van Avermaet is leading GC before Adelaide!

25th January 2009
---
So, here we are. 5 days of racing so far, and we've made it to Adelaide. No abandons which is a good sign for the start of the year. It's too early to reflect on the race, but it has exceeded my expectations.
Ahead of us, 90km around the streets of Adelaide, nothing major will happen here, i'm hoping it will be an exciting day and that we can give the crowd here, something to cheer for. I think i'm going to let Sulzberger do a big attack today, it's the only Australian pro event of the year, let's give them a rider they can all get behind.
Geslin is 11th in GC, a top 10 really would be great, we'll try and pick up a time bonus or something, but it looks unlikely. Today's stage will be dominated by the sprinters.
On with the report...
Take me down to a paradise city (Adelaide), where it's 34 degrees.
Early break lasted 5 laps, includes Coyot, Sulzberger and Calaluna
Ponzi falls
Ponzi is so close to being lapped by the days 2nd break.
But the break is caught, and the peloton laps Ponzi
1 lap to go, it's the final 5km of the TDU.
The sprint is on, the final KM of Racing in Australia.
Edvald Boasson Hagen takes it!
Boasson Hagen gets his moment of glory on the podium.
It's been a fantastic Tour down Under. And in the next post, full rankings and podiums. It's comming right away!

January 30th 2009
---
I've been contacted by British Cycling.
They want me to direct their world championship team for Mendrisio 2009. I accepted of course, who wouldn't?
With this of course they send over the race profiles, i have them below
Road Race
Time Trial
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the 1st February we will be racing the GP D'Overture La Marseillaise, it's the race that opens the European season. I haven't decided the team yet, we're not all recovered from our Trip to Australia (I'm back in Paris, by the way )
The course is hilly and should favour a small breakaway.
Francaise des Jeux have asked us to get a top 10 here.
---
Next post: February Preview (I'll post that tomorrow)
31st January 2009
I've just got off the phone with the sponsors and we've all agreed on our February calendar
The sponsors asked nicely if we can stay in france as much as possible this month, which i agreed with. It cuts down on traveling costs and hotels.
However i made a deal with the sponsors to allow us to ride Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, this is an important race in the run up to the cobbled week in April where we race Ronde Van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Paris-Roubaix.
Now i'm going to get in the car and drive to Marseille, then i'll travel to tomorrows stage start.
The race is 127km, and for the first race on french soil our riders are very motivated to do well.
What is my aim here? Well top 10 would be nice, but i'm also here to try and win. Joly should take care of that.
I've also taken the move to have all riders with at least 1 race day before Paris-Nice, this continues here.
