What a terrible disgrace german football has become..
Our dumb "ultra" cologne fans with their black bombs after being relegated in the last game
Then the last relegation game between the Karlsruhe and Regensburg (2nd and 3rd league relegation game for the last places in the respective leagues next season) after Karlsruhe relegated from 2nd to 3rd league with 70 arrested people I think
And now the relegation game for the Bundesliga
Düsseldorf is about to be promoted from 2nd to 1st league again after being relegated 1997 from the Bundesliga and some dumb Berlin fans with their silvester stuff and after that dumb Düsseldorf fans storming the pitch in the 89 minute.. Even some idiot wanted to take the 11m spot..
Now the game is at the moment canceled and the Düsseldorf staff tried them to convince to get behind the advertising boards..
When politics fail and sport doesn't want to pay the police men a fair price for the stuff they are doing and the stewards can't do anything against these fans..
Even last season after Frankfurt relegated and after the game they stormed the pitch.. And some idiot fan destroying a camera and looking into the camera, making it easy for the police to get him..

If it were only in Germany (not that I want it to happen there, I don't want this to happen anywhere), football would be a better sport. But these kind of things are globalizing now...
Anyway, 2-2 final result, Hertha back to the second division...
There are stupid football fans and referees everywhere. Last game of the season in czech league Sparta-C.B and frustrated Sparta fans who miss the title by few points before last round started to throw pyrotechnics on the pitch and players. The pitch looked like star-wars battlefield and still referee let the match continue after few minutes
Wolgang Stark is a disgrace it should have been abandoned and he never added the time on for the Dusseldorf fans storming the pitch before the players went off, should of been another 2 minutes. Either way Hertha will be back
Hertha protested against the result and oh my, it's obvious that they want it off the green table.
Everyone from Hertha said nothing just that they were affected/frightened by the people on the pitch.
Even though I was angry while I saw it, but now.. That weren't hooligans on the pitch, but just fans that were happy that Düsseldorf promotes to the Bundesliga after 15 years, restart in the 4th league after they were bankrupt etc.
The hertha fans were the people who fired up some silvester stuff and bengalos.
Stark said that he was beaten by Kobiashvili (should be banned for a year) and insulted by several Hertha players (like Lell, Stark and Mijatovic). The hertha players just said what I guess they were told by the Hertha lawyers..
What I don't get, if the hertha players were so frightened by the people on the pitch (just 1 minute and some seconds and even not hooligans) they couldn't play, why are they able to insult and beat the referee immediately after the game? Doesn't sounds like they were frightened.
I hope the DFB doesn't reward Hertha for trying stupid stuff and cancel these stupid relegation stuff..
It's like a do or die game and they wonder about that stuff (like the Karlsruhe-Regenburg game where 70 people were injured) that happens in such an important game for the teams. Send down the 3 worst teams and they should play better next time.
Even though in the last 3 years there were 3 big incidents after a team relegated:
Berlin 2010 -> Hooligans storming the pitch and destroying a lot
Frankfurt 2011 -> some Hools storming the pitch (but were fought/held back unlike in Berlin) and 1 idiot destroying a camera whilst he was looking in it
Cologne 2012 -> firing up some black smoke bombs

As Hertha is a team close to my heart, I am going to defend them and as a fan. Of course it wasn't right what the fans done but the referee should of abandoned the game. If scenes like that happened anywhere else the game would of been abandoned regardless of how long was left. Stark is one of the most controversial referee's around, didnt he referee a semi final between Chelsea and Barcelona a few seasons ago? I hope to god they are just rumours about the Hertha players, if not they should all be docked significant amount of wages,
Bundesliga becoming more and mroe popular for big names.
Will be a great season to watch with Van der Vaart, Affelay, Martinez and all the other great additions.
As Bremen fan I will have to wait. Completely rebuilding the squad at the moment.
First game against Dortmund was highly promising and with Arnautovic, Elia, De Bruyne we have so much talent in the offense. Only need to stay better in the defense.

On the other hand some quality players left, like Kagawa. But i like Bundesliga a lot, great atmosphere and good football, when i watch some matches.
Hamburg will be super creative in the midfield, with new signings Jiracek and VdV (he i not confirmed yet right?).
When I wrote it, he was pretty much secured. Now there is again a question mark but I highly doubt he won`t come.
Actually I don`t think they are super creative. Too many similar players and no scorer and a defense that is not having enough quality for 1st league.
Arnesen really fucked up the club and all the last transfers weren`t even done by him...
Kagawa might be the only one I can remember right now. I don`t count Babel there as he never was able to be something close to a big player.
And Podolski sure was a good player but he is quite overrated imo.

Podolski isn't overrated but none of the clubs he played for, was/is really for him:
Cologne twice.. Here okish as he was the best player and so he got a lot of passes as he needed to score because they are that bad, but he was with mediocre players so he was very much on his own..
Bayern for example was bad because of the wingers they had and he wasn't the most important player on the pitch as a hanging striker or striker where he is better in my opinion then as a left midfielder..
Arsenal could be good but Podolski needs players like Van Persie or now Cazorla but just Cazorla isn't enough.. Also I would wait to say how good he is at the moment with Arsenal as the Bundesliga and the Premier League are 2 very diffrent leagues.
Hamburg with a creative midfield?? Hamburg is as mediocre as Cologne was.. Some good players but nothing works out and I have a feeling that the players aren't behind Fink as he is weird.. He should have stayed at Basel and Arnesen oh my.. These Chelsea player "talents" are bad..
He plays very good with a creative midfield like in Germany so he as a hanging striker/striker could shine a lot more instead of tackling tackling tackling getting the ball and playing to someone else.. In the 2nd stint with Cologne he played that part and scored a lot of goals but couldn't hold Cologne on his own in the 1. Bundesliga..

I agree with you that Bayern was not the perfect team and also Cologne not.
Some years ago I would have loved to see him with Bremen.
But even in the National he has better guys ahead of him now with Reus, Schürrle and the others. He isn`t playing very consistent and has lots of invisible games between some great games.
That`s what I meant. If he would play more of the great games he would be worth the money Arsenal spent for him. But so, he is overrated imo.
44 goals for Germany in 100 matches, what an overrated player he is. He was one of the best german players at two WC imo...
He never played in team that would fit him. Too good for Cologne and too many prefered players above him in Bayern.
He is not a golden ball candidate, but lets see if he is very good player for Arsenal, as i think he could be.
Edit: And Jiracek and VdV are both very good players, i think one of the best buys this summer in Bundesliga. Jiracek is not well known, but he is fantastic player, you will see.

Stumbled over this video
Just to explain: HSV was some seasons ago in the Europe League semi-finals and now are very struggling (with Hoffenheim which are worse) to hold the league at the moment.

Wait until they get Hakan Calhanoglu, the most promising talent from my home town club since Scholl and Kahn, many believe
On more recent news, newly promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf is now 4th in the league after 5 games with an amazing 4-0 goals so far

How "important" is the cup/DFB(?) in German?
Will the game between Munchen and Dortmund be any good with the "a-team"?
Be damn sure that both teams will bring their a-teams The DFB-Pokal is highly prestigeous (not as prestigeous as the league, but I'd say it comes close) and the match has been in the medial focus for weeks now (it's advertised as the duel of giants and stuff like that). It's especially spicy since Bayern couldn't win the last five matches against Dortmund, including the humiliating 2:5 in the final of the cup last year. Also, Dortmund has basically no chance of winning the league, so the DFB-Pokal is their best chance for a title this year.
While we're at it , Freiburg has just won the first quarter final in a fantastic match against Mainz, 3:2 in extra time after being 0:2 behind after only 4 minutes and scoring the equalizer in the last second.
