Hincapies bad luck continues as Popovych crashes - when Disco had just 5 left, so the other 4 had to wait. Astana lead at the moment
I already know what Levi4Life is thinking. Now Hincapie can be the leader with a hurt Popo |

Yeah it was a very clever takteek to have a sprinter in pink at early stages and i think Danilo wasnt angry about not being first, because to me it looks like good team tactic ... but i also wonder what he was shouting on Enrico
i watched eurosport live coverage

Cyclingnews.com says that Di Luca said: 'Where are you going?' to Gasparotto, of course during the press conference they all said that this was the plan (getting Gasparotto in 1st place) but I think most of us know better
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

something tells me Gasparotto is "unfortunately" getting a puncture tomorrow.....
even if it doesn't happen, there is no way Liquigas is going to defend the jersey... |

Actually, today (stage 2) is a day where Gasparatto could have a chance of winning, as it's not a pure sprinters stage. |

The final downhill run into Bosa contained nothing but smooth roads but it was the nervous finish that caused a crash at 1300 metres to go to the line. Andrea Tonti (Quickstep-Innergetic) came off the worst but the crash also held up the Giro's Maglia Rosa, Enrico Gasparotto (Liquigas). Although the overnight leader did not go down, he lost his jersey to team captain Di Luca, who had stayed with the front runners. 'Gaspa,' now in second overall, will don the Maglia Bianca of the best young rider.
"It was too bad about the crash in the finale but I am happy to have the Maglia Rosa," said Di Luca after crossing the line. "I never saw the crash because I was up front." |

When riders are on the same time its the placings on the stages that decides. for example, if someone ends 1st and 8th on 2 stages he gets 9 as a total, and another get 2nd and 4th, he gets 6 as total, therefore he takes the lead. |

Gasparotto has it back! He obviously finished ahead of Di Luca in the sprint. |

Well, the sprint was perfect for him. Yesterday, it had some curves which doesn't suit him. Petacchi likes long, straight finishes, and he got that today |
