It´s s not a secret, I went all-in 315K.
Indeed, 284k for such rider is way too much, but as a last chance to get (future) solid rider I have not seen another option. As a loser, I´d sign almost useless 50k FA instead and finish transfers with 260k off the salary cap, with just very limited training options.
Bid 274k from LLS means that he was thinking alike.

Kipkemboi released is quite a shocking end to transfers... Although jandal wanted to sell him, guess that's still rather painful...

I really wanted to buy Kipkemboi, but we never reached an agreement, which feels awful right now as he would have been a perfect fit. In the end I signed Nikiema and Laas, so it was difficult to create a decent offer at the end of transfer, but I guess even a poor offer would have been better than sacking Frown

Given that it was a sack after the end of transfers, I suspect there was an issue with the transfer sheet. But the only ones who could clarify the situation would be the Admins or jandal himself.

It would be interesting to know what's behind this post transfers sack. Especially since my own free agent signing got significantly more expensive after a bid by the manager involved. Would be unfortunate to learn that he didn't have his budget in check.
