3rd Stage
Today the crowd was lucky as they could see Anton and Rujano on the breakaway of the day
As expected the first serious attacks began at last Mountain Sprint with Pozzato
After him went Voigt and Cancellara
But today was Pozzato’s day nobody could catch him as he celebrated a solo win
But what happened to Vicioso all this time?? He tried to follow Cancellara’s attack but he just didn’t have the strenght so he finished with the third or fourth group throwing away his chances in an Overall victory…

Volta a la Comunidad Valenciana
Vicioso had ruined the chance of his second victory however he achieved a 5th place which was not bad. Nevertheless he’s staying home this time improving his doping techniques and shaving his legs. This week Di Luca will lead the team, but as he’s not in his best shape we’ll keep Zaballa and Tondo well positioned to have a go at the GC. So let’s end this month gracefully shall we?
1st Stage
We started to place Cabreira up front to excuse ourselves of the work on the peloton
At the last hill the puncheurs had about 3min of advantage with only 20km to go! That’s when the Euskaltel train woke up.
At the end of the climb some of the riders in the front launched an attack feeling thet they could go all the way to the finish. Cabreira tried to storm with them…but he just couldn’t!
Back in the pack the attacks began with Gil, Jimenez, L. L. Sanchez, Marchante.Di Luca didi is part and went after them
At this point we had the day’s break then Cabreira then Di Luca’s group then Barredo’s group and only after them the peloton. Di Luca was later joined by Zaballa which who for him.
At the front Ramirez won the stage in front of Mugerli and Bak
After them Di Luca’s group was caught by Barredo’s as well as Cabreira. The favorites group sprinted but the stage was already lost and no big differences were made between the big names.

2nd Stage (simmed)
1st – Fernando Torres SPI
2nd – Bert Grabsch THR s.t.
3rd – Juan José Oroz EUS s.t
4th – Tom Danielson TSL s.t.
5th – Marco Pinotti THR s.t.
6th – Miguel Minguéz AMO s.t.
7th – PELOTON +32’’
GC:
1st – Bert Grabsch THR
2nd – Jesús Ramiréz SPI +32’’
3rd – Lars Bak CSC +38’’
4th – Matej Mugerli LIQ +40’’
5th – Nuno Ribeiro LIS +44’’
3rd Stage
It was becoming clear that the other teams were all expecting that we took care of the the pursuit as we have brought Di Luca and the stages have all been won by breakaways.
So today Tondo includes the break of the day!
As expected the break went all the way and Tondo led the first attack with only 2km to go
In the pack nobody risked anything. Zaballa then lead the way to Di Luca’s attack with Danielson on his wheel
In the front Tondo won the stage on the sprint ahead of Landaluze and Pate
Di Luca managed to get the 5th place but it was hard to tell how much time had recovered as the gap turned really confusing… Only the Rankings could tell…
We now have 2 riders in the top10 and 4 in the top20. IT was a good day for the cleanest team of the Pro Tour.

4th Stage
And now the decisive stage. That steep hill will most certainly define the Overall Rankings.
Again the breakaway included a LA MSS member. Cabreira joined a group which contained Ignatiev, Boom, Capecchi and Efimkin as the strongest.
Once more the peloton didn’t concern with the advantage of the break so they had about 2’30’’ with 15km to go. That’s when the attacks started. In the front by Efimkin and in the bunch by Bak
Di Luca went after Bak and then formed a chasing group. In the front Cabreira struggled to keep with the front group as the attacks kept a high frequency
When the road started rising the riders at the front were all tore appart because of the constant attacks. Behind them Di Luca responded to the Plaza, Zubeldia and L.L.Sanchez’s attacks!
Eventually the favorites caught the fugitives during the climb. A big group would sprint for the stage victory. The winner would be The Last Man Standing as everyone was completely exhausted (like LAMPRE’s and SCOTT’s riders show)!!!
At the end it was Plaza the winner!!!
…as Di Luca took only 8th… But who got the yellow jersey?? The differences were really confusing…
Ooohh it was Plaza!! With Di Luca only 20’’ behind!! All because of the bonifications. There’s still one more stage though can he do it??

FEBRUARY REPORT
February had his ups and downs. An authentic Rollercoaster I must say! We started with an amazing victory in Mallorca which predited a great month. However the rest of the month was downhiling to the bottom… The Dopeman was displaying a good performance in Andalucia until the last stage where he gave it all away…still a 5th place served as consolation. But the worst was still to come. After a confusing week with races being won by puncheurs Di Luca had a great chance of winning the overall int the penultimate stage in Valencia. He got a 2nd place which was not bad. In the last stage the impossible happened!! The Italian forgot the chain of the bike and so he had to do the two hundred kilometers on foot. At the end he told me: “Shit happens”. To make things even worst, Plaza won the race offering a victory to one of our most fierce rivals: SL Benfica…
“Shit really happens” – was my answer to Di Luca

March
After these 3 spanish races we face March with excitement. The Pro Tour starts now for us. Tirreno-Adriatico and Paris-Nice can be two races where we’ll get some points. Plus we’ll have 2 more spanish one-week races as Vuelta a Murcia and Vuelta a Castilla y León that might be fun to race. To complement the calendary GP Cholet Pays de Loire, GP Llodio and Milano - San Remo that may suit O’Grady’s skills. Last season we got a 2nd place by merely 2 seconds in Vuelta a Murcia and won 4 other races in March. Can we do it again??
Vuelta a Murcia
Tiago Machado will be the lead-out man to X. Tondo. The Spanish trailed for Kreuziger the Overall (by only 3 seconds) last year so he’s one of the main candidates and has the individual time trial vice champion of the world helping him. We’ll see what he can do… The first two flat stages will be skipped.
The Squad:
3rd Stage - ITT
Unfortunately I totally forgot to save the replay so I don’t have any pictures of it. But the results were pretty good for the team:
Stage and GC
1st – Ricardo Riccò GST
2nd - Markus Fothen GST +5’’
3rd – Xavier Tondo MAI +18’’
4th – Marzio Bruseghin AST +19’’
5th – Ruben Plaza SLB +21’’
6th – Tiago Machado MAI +31’’
4th Stage
Everybody tried their luck at some point of the stage but nobody could beat Riccò. He showed he is in a hell of a shape.
Although Machado lost is place in the GC Tondo holded is brilliant 3rd place which is a great result. Even better when you aknowledge he’s been the best Spaniard in the race. The Last stage ended in a sprint and didn’t bring any modifications in the GC.

I think those stats are insane!
I reduced them myself before starting my career as he was doped.
I decreased the doped riders major stats by 2 points... Im not sure but I think I did that to Ricco too so it should be 83 Mountain which I think is not exagerated but the print and TT skills are very overrated from my perspective...

I played for 4 years and by the end Ricco could win every race from MSR to le Tour to the WC ITT, just stupid.
