Good deals for Higuita and Aular, big money sales, it's all going swimmingly for Los Pollos!

Higuita and Aular are lovely signings, but Zepuntke remains the star of the team

Thanks again for the nice comments, very appreciated. Indeed happy with the regional leaders, and would be great if they could help in delivering us promotion. Won't be easy, because PCT once again looks very strong.
Apart from that we can say goodbye to two riders. Daniel Munoz is the biggest victim of the Aular transfer, as we could no longer support his wage. Munoz has left us for Caja Rural Cycling Team in CT, where he'll try to help them in their promotion bid. Even though Los Pollos is still a young team, saying goodbye to a rider you had from season one is never an easy thing to do.
In a very expected turn of events, Victor Alejandro Ocampo will once again not be racing for us this season. Third season in a row he has a Los Pollos contract, third season in a row he'll be racing for another team. The Sony - Pollo bond has been strenghtened even further, as the Colombian time trialist will race for division rivals/friends Sony - Force India. After having loaned out Galvan Ramirez to them last season, and selling them Hoole some days ago, one wonders what the next deal between the two teams will be. Maybe we can loan some level four's out to Sony when they are in PT next season?
In other news, news so big it literally broke the forum, Alain Quispe is home! He returns on loan to Los Pollos Hermanos for one season, as we will finally make him the best version of himself. Two Peruvian rouleurs in the team to aid Manninen now, and possibly go their own chance in CT. Colombini Cycling gave us a higher than needed fee after manager Nemolito slightly miscalculated some stuff, which is of course highly appreciated.

Apologies for not including his max version. Once you guys overcome your fears, feel free to look it up in the spoiler below.

We had one more FA bid, and thought to do something different. No level 1's for us this year (excluding our Greek loanee), but we still like to develop some riders. No Latin Americans were deemed worthy (or in most cases we just couldn't get them anymore), so please welcome Nigerian road and time trial champion
Fatiu Abolaji to the team! Below you can find his current and max stats, as he should max in two seasons. Mostly a flat domestique/time trialist that should be a decent part of any TTT-team, with decent physical stats and a nice prologue to back that up even further. Maybe in a couple of seasons one of the African teams come knocking on our door, in which case we'd always be glad to bring him 'home'.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | XP | Age | | Fatiu Abolaji | 71 | 62 | 60 | 72 | 68 | 71 | 69 | 65 | 60 | 60 | 66 | 65 | 74 | 3.13 | 25 | | Fatiu Abolaji | 74 | 62 | 61 | 76 | 71 | 75 | 72 | 65 | 60 | 60 | 68 | 65 | 78 | 4.100 | 27 |
More great news (at least, for me this counts as great news, I know the haters will be hating), as Ezee has provided us with a national jersey almost immediately. Not only a Nigerian one for Abolaji, but also the Venezuelan one for Aular.

These shirts are less ugly than the main one, congrats! I’ll let you develop our Nigerian friend and come pick him up for a quick buck later.

Let's see about that ...
Beautiful shirts, beautiful signings, 10/10 offseason I think.

I love the duo of Aular and Higuita, strong signings. Also Nigeria gets a shot of putting a rider of significance in the MG circuit and I love that he can develop with your team.

Love the landing spot for Higuita. Hope he gets his leadership due here and training too. Take care of my boy

Aular added to Higuita is an excellent window. Quispe will burn the PCT to a crisp! Ignored the shirts, gotta thank me

Beautiful comment. Thanks to all for the other (sometimes) nice comments as well
@jandal: Higuita obviously has to fight for a spot with/against Aular, but I'm sure we can find races that fit him better, as Aular doesn't really have the punch Higuita has (not at all actually). We'll see if and when we can gather training funds some day, but he'd be an obvious training choice indeed in the coming years.
With everybody confirmed, we'll give an overview of our team so far. For the first season ever we only have one sprinter, which still feels a bit weird. Nevertheless we have the feeling we could score in most races on the calender, obviously in some more than in others.
We went into the transfer season aiming for Gaviria, but knew it was always gonna be hard to compete with the PT hot shots. Our plan B was to get Higuita and either a point scorer or regional leader, and in Aular we think we found a decent mix of both those categories. It hurt a bit to let talents like Hoole and Walls go, but that was the price we had to pay. Would not call myself a promotion favourite with this team (a bit hard to say in general when barely knowing the other teams), but at least I'm not scared to say that promotion to PT is an objective. Hopefully we can achieve it. If not, the team should still be quite decent next year as well, with nobody older than 31.
Riders in bold are the loaned in riders. Not included in the picture is 76TT-rider Ocampo, loaned out to Sony.

Congrats, really nice squad. I think you are safely within the promotion picture.
20:20 hindsight I probably should have gone harder on Higuita but happy to see him at a regional team. Aular a really good pick up both from a team and regional perspective and good to see Quipse back where he belongs.

Great squad for the season with amazing climbing depth and regional riders. Like others have said, you should be a safe bet to be promoting back to PT immediately

Thanks to all for the confidence, but I think that might be over-rating some of the leaders such as Aular and Zepuntke, who could both be very average. Also still a bit scared of Zmorka after his TT-randomness last season, finishing with a 28th in the ITT WC. Manninen's sprinting competition also should be a bit harder than the last time he was in PCT.
