Cool looking stages, rjc.
Before you get swamped, I'd like to request the Tour of Hokkaido both for myself (and Crommy's upcoming DB).
Here's a link to the top page.
https://www.tour-de-hokkaido.or.jp/rou...route.html
For detailed stage profiles, click on the Stage 1 box near the top of the page. For stage 2, click 2 etc.
It'd be great if you could do this.

1) Are you guys taking the piss?
2) "Before you get swamped" erm, too late.
3) There will be a list of requests that I will have, and the order in which they come will be based not on first come first served, but rather preference of user/how much they contribute to the site.
4) Yes I will do all the requests, but in future do NOT be selfish and request both 2 "classics" and 1 stage race all at once (especially when it's not even for PCM08, which this thread is under). I'm only one guy, who has a real life. To put things in scale, to do those stages yesterday took me all day (from 10am to 10pm, with about 2 hours break for food). Obviously considering I have uni 5 days a week, and training 6, I do not usually have so much free time.
In other news, stage 1,2 and 3 of Maggot's requests may soon be completed.

First off, it's not "my job here". It is not a job, it's something I do to further increase peoples enjoyment of the game, a job would infer that I am getting paid, or are made to do this. I am not in either category.
Forget? I do not forget requests. If I were you, I would refrain from replying to this post, take it on board, and if you request stages again make sure you think clearly before you post anything that may, or may not, be taken the wrong way by me.
If in doubt, polite and to the point is spot on.

Hey RJC,
I really would like a real version of the Tour de Georgia.
here is the main page
https://cyclingnew...georgia08/
Each stage:
Stage 1 Tybee Island - Savannah 113.3km
Stage 2: Statesboro - Augusta 188.1km
Stage 3: Washington - Gainesville 174.1km
Stage 4 Road Atlanta (TTT) 16.1km
I have no idea if it's possible, but it's actually held on a major auto race course.
So i do not know if it is in anyway plausible, but here is the track map and the same site has some pics of the track.
https://roadatlant...kmap.lasso
Stage 5 Suwanee - Dahlonega 214.7km
Stage 6: Blairsvill/Union County - Brasstown Bald/Towns County 142.3km
Stage 7: Atlanta circuit race 100.9km
10 laps of 10 KM each.
Thanks, do it whenever you have time, no huge rush.

well maybe i chose wrong words like "job" ... and i think you know that my post was ment in a good way, maybe its my english i dont know, but you said that you were making stages for many hours in one day, i just wanted to say that its not necessary at least that im not in a hurry on that request and you may take as much time as you want and still not be bothered
btw hope that this wouldnt be misunderstod as well as previous post

No, it is not misunderstood this time. I was aware that your intensions were in the right place, but I'm not a sucker for someone to be taking advantage of. I am aware that I am the only Stage Maker that calls PCM Daily their home, so don't abuse the fact I am willing to do all this work for people. This isn't aimed just at you, but more for everyone.

Would you relax, please? No one has said anything 'bad' about this - people just requested a bunch of stages, just like you ask people to in the thread opener. |

Mate, you need to take it easy.
You've opened this thread saying people can request stages/races.
Then you're flying off the handle when people do? I don't get it...
As far as I can see, no one has been disrespectful and everyone has asked nicely. I think most people appreciate that it will take time and don't expect the stages to be posted tommorrow.
Someone makes a request, then you fulfil the request - if and when you feel like.
Nice and simple. |

From the 11/11/08, request just ONE race at a time. ie, 1 classic, 1 stage race, not 3 or however many in one go. It's not fair on other people.
Again, I ask that people forgive my rashness, and ability to type before I think.
And in all politeness, 0bukkeke (sorry if your name is wrong), please can you let me know which 1 of your races you wish to be made first. The same applies to anyone else who has requested more than one race at a time.
My first point 1) are you guys taking the piss was referring more to the fact that I was overwhelmed by the amount of requests I recieved in about 5 hours, and that if people were expecting me to churn out a stage race a day, they would be let down. And that some people had requested so much for themselves.
Please do continue to request stages/classics/whatever, but do keep in mind (as you all have so far) that I am quick to jump to the wrong conclusions right about now, and I cannot give dates or time scales of when I will do a stage, so please, never ask.
I also never forget. Ever. Like an elephant for that matter...
Again, sorry for my badly phrased words, sentances and general bitterness in most of my above posts.

That's cool, rjc.
I think after the quality of stuff you've posted so far, I've got a feeling you'll be getting plenty of requests in this thread. |

Thank you for understanding and having patience with me
Yes, I will do your requests, but obviously I will do your first one, and then other peoples requests, then come back to your second request. It's just fairer, plus you are requesting an 06 stage, which I'm not sure whether it will work. So it's going to be an 07 stage, without any 3D added stuffs, so hopefully it will work for you.

'ello 'ello
Gimme a stage race!!!!! 32 stages, tour of America I will let you do all the research and I demand it by the time i wake up tomorrow morning...
Just kidding.
How about the tour of Utah? I'd like to see it included in the Management game. Only the stage lengths are in Kilometers (excluding the crit) so I am going to do the math as best I can for you on each intermediate sprint/kom banner.
Stage 1: Won by Jason Donald from a small break and a large pack finished only seconds behind: A hilly rating would be best I believe.
https://www.tourofutah.com/docs/Stage1...Stage1.pdf
Elevation shown on PDF in Meters: 1981
1st sprint: 71km's in
1st KoM: 95km's in
2nd Sprint: km 117
3rd sprint: km 140
Some pics:
https://velonews.com/article/81708
Stage 2: Won by Blake Caldwell from a small break, first real sorting out of the GC. Mountain stage
https://www.tourofutah.com/docs/Stage2...Stage2.pdf
Elevation in meters: 2438
1st Kom: Km 17
1st sprint: km 39
2nd Kom: km 43
2nd Sprint: km 72
3rd kom: km 109
Some pics:
https://velonews.com/article/81752/gar...-race-lead
Stage 3: Won by Ricardo Escuela in bucn sprint. Criterium
https://www.tourofutah.com/docs/Stage3...Stage3.pdf
Stage 3 is a 75 minute Criterium so there is no distance marked on the PDF. Lets say the average speed is 50km's an hour for 1 and a quarter hours the toal distance covered is 62.5 km's. There were intermediate primes offered that did have small time bonuses. You could disregard those or make a curcuit race of maybe 3 or 4 laps with sprints each time the riders hit the finishing straight, it could make for some interesting racing. Its up to you. The riders contesting those sprints are unlikely to be GC contenders, especially after the first 2 stages.
Race elevation 1316 meters
Some Pics:
https://velonews.com/article/81831/ric...-criterium
Stage 4: Won by Jeff Louder, ahead of Caldwell, caldwell held the lead. Queen Stage
https://www.tourofutah.com/docs/Stage4...Stage4.pdf
elevation shown on PDF: 2743 meters
1st Sprint: km 26
2nd sprint: km 54
1st Kom: km 93
2nd Kom: km 126
3rd kom: 158 (Stage finish)
Some Pics:
https://velonews.com/article/81922/lou...ueen-stage
Stage 5: Won by Tom Zirbel, Louder takes overall, 9 seconds ahead of Caldwell and 46 on Glen Chadwick. Time Trial
https://www.tourofutah.com/docs/Stage5...Stage5.pdf
There is no profile for this stage on the PDF But I and fairly certain it is flat, flat, flat.
Elevation: No idea but it really doesn't matter I guess.
SOme Pics

Let me know if you need any more info and I will try my best.
All of this, however, only if you are willing.
Thanks rjc
