Another low top10 for the collection. I have a dream that one day my sprinters will remember they can create a leadout train. Until then we'll continue to pay homage to the Degenkolb lordship. At least the coverage is top notch!

Bouglas basically does what we can expect from him, but it sure is a low scoring race. 25 points picked up in 8 days, all of them from Bouglas, who (if surviving) might pick up another 5 on stage 21.
Chiarello, Mavrikakis and Spanopoulos really need to step up drastically, otherwise this will be one of those races forcing us into the relegation battle.

By the way, did we ever see the big favorite cracking this way in the leader's jersey before?
Lecuisinier in Colombia last year did something similar. Back then it was Kudus who won from it, ironically.

Glad to see my boy Kudus at the top of the game. When applications open Kenya Airways might have to make a return. |

Awesome 4th place from Abdul Halil! Good to see he’s had a go on a few previous stages too. Hope he can go one better on the final stage (if he manages to survive)

Back to the ISA show, that's for sure. Very well done by the team and Degenkolb to be this dominating, super impressive! |

Yates is doing great so far!
This stage favoured the climbers with good HI, so I'll settle for fifth. We'll have to survive a couple more of these before the real climbing starts, so it's a good sign that we can limit the damage in this type of stage.

Decent work by Higuita, though with better positioning this could've been an awesome stage. Nice to see him up there and also good to keep the TC for a day

I just realized that Vosekalns is actually placed fairly well in GC. Hopefully this doesnt prevent him from riding aggressively!

Oh dear. 8 minutes lost from Mavrikakis and Spanopoulos. Chiarello only barely making the front group. It’s going to be a long Vuelta…

These hilly stages could create the most danger to Eastman's aspirations so I'm glad he was just able to cruise along with the favourites group. Very nice win from Yates.
Great to see Froomedog make a cameo in the comment section too. Would be great to have Kenya Airways back. The African field has become sort of a war site though.
Great pace on the reports, Imladrik!

I was expecting slightly better from Formolo given he is pretty much the best puncheur here. Another podium is nice, but a stage win would be even nicer

Suspect this will be all about Preidler's GC position going into the third week, as that will most likely decide what he is allowed to do in this race. Kind of hoping he clearly gives up on a GC top 15, if that's what it takes to get a green light from the AI to go on the attack in later mountain stages. |

First bad positioning, then too quick recovery only to crack hard and land behind Jaramillo. On a stage where Higuita should've been with the very best he suffers the worst setback so far and we lose the TC with it...

Interesting that we spent all day working in the peleton to set up the attack for Blums. Not sure if its better than joining the break but at least we tried sth

Nice to see the team being on the offense the entire day, and also for Chiarello to pick up his first 5 points of the race.
It's a very dissapointing race for Spanopoulos and Mavrikakis though, whom I invested heavily in before the season...

Another slightly disappointing performance from Formolo. I can't really complain since he is third in the GC, but a stage win would have been something more palpable to have since he could easily drop out of the top 5 in any of the mountain stages.
Hopefully he is just saving his legs for some more magic in the mountains!
