Disaster for many as the Team Pursuiters beat the Team Sprinters!!! It wasnt even close - they won by 1.5 seconds! Only 3 of the 53 people betting on that got it correct.
Matt Crampton did the Sprint and Keirin double, Geraint Thomas won the motor paced Scratch Race, and Chris Newton took the Points Race. |

I suppose the flying start was quite significant - made it more like a team pursuit.
Here's what British Cycling's short report on the event says:
Flying 750 Metre Sprint Challenge – Sprint vs Endurance
The highlight event of the night and another Revolution special, pitted GB’s crack Endurance and Sprint Squads head to head over a flying 750metres.
First up were the endurance guys. Steven Burke Man 1, Geriant Thomas Man 2, Ed Clancy on the anchor leg. The endurance team stopped the clock at 39.229 – an astonishing 42.776 mph! Could the sprinters, beat that? Surely they could…
But in a high drama, and not a little panto from self appointed endurance team manager Rob Hayles, who whipped up the crowd during his team’s effort, Staff – Edgar – Kenny could only post a – 40.783, much to the chagrin of Jamie Staff, who looked like he’d found a penny and lost a pound. Awesome and very, very funny. |

Yea, I put everything I had on the spinters in the 750m
Now I'm gonna have to wait untill I get $10 again and then build up from there... But I guess I'm not at all the only one having that problem right now |

Youre missing the whole point that we only do bets for the men's races, so I hadnt bothered to look at the Women's Start list at all. No need to get all touchy.

Oh yeah. Hehe i forgot about that. Not really getting touchy dude Its just that i take a bit of a tough defense towards women's cycling as my sister is so heavily involved.
I have to say the bets for melborne are gonna be a little risky. Its gonna be so much harder not to bet on a brit |

Its gone well for me so far
Only one to bet on Jack Bobridge. He wins the individual pursuit, and I get 192
Only one to bet on Azizulhasni Awang. He wins the Keirin, and I get 100
Also winnings of 143 thanks to Team Toshiba winning the Team Sprint, and 576 with Australia winning the team pusuit |
