Stage 3
Again, Breschel were going for a good spot in the sprint. Maybe we could send Lars (Bak) or André (Steensen) in the breakaway?
No, none of them, Alexandr Kolobnev felt free to attack.
There were many attacks in the break today.
Another attack… There were approximately ten more… Alexandr said that there was no fun to be the only one to work for the break after he finished. Kolobnev got the mountains’ jersey now!
Team Columbia, Quick-Step and Liquigas wanted a bunch sprint, so they went to the front to the peloton for pacing in the breakaway riders.
There were two dominating trains, Liquigas and Saunier Duval. Breschel was behind the Saunier Duval riders.
The sprint started, and Bennati with Boonen on his wheel made a big gap to the other sprinters. At this moment, Matti were really stuck. If Boonen won, he would take the leaders jersey if Matti not came second.
Tom Boonen! Nice victory! Matti on fifth, Boonen in yellow. Matti will wear the points’ jersey, because Boonen can’t wear two. Although, Matti also have the u25 jersey.

Stage 4
A hilly stage today. Kolobnev want to keep the mountain jersey, and he’s allowed to break away.
After several attacks, Kolobnev finally was in the main breakaway group.
Astana set a very fast pace before the 4th climb, that resulted a big stretch, and only two Saxo Bank riders in the group, the Schlecks. There were about 25-30 riders there.
Kolobnev and the other guys in the breakaway group was caught 7 kilometres from the last summit, but Kolobnev had a good form today, and was first over the summit. Now, there were just 22 riders in the group – 3 Saxo Bank riders, though.
Fränk was the best sprinter in our team, but he could never beat for example Dekker and Hincapie, so with 4 kilometres to the finish, he attacked.
A nice win! He had about 30 metres when there was 500 metres to the line, on the line there were just a bike length.
The f*cking game crashed under the replay!!

Stage 5
This is the last stage before the time-trial. I’m sure Fränk will hold his leaders jersey today, but a time-trial with riders as Dekker, Vande Velde and Hincapie, there will be a problem. I’m going to work hard today, for making bigger time gap in the GC, not sure if it works, though…
Fränk in the yellow jersey. Will this day be the last he gets it on the podium?
Today’s breakaway was not dangerous. Some guys was about five minutes behind Fränk, but I wouldn’t set high pace before the last 50 kilometres, though.
110 kilometres to go, the gap was 12 minutes, and Quick-Step became afraid, and they was the first to set fast pace.
When the distance was 9:30, it seemed like noone wanted to be in the front, maybe because of the very strong side winds? At 50 kilometres there were about 9:00, and I set my riders in front, and in the last hills, the gap was 4 minutes.
First, Devolder attacked. Then Popovych, Dekker and Hincapie followed. 10 kilometres to go.
Five kilometers to go, Fränk attacked… One of the breakaway riders would win, but there were some GC-contenders that wanted to create some gaps…
Fischer wins!
Fränk came 1:09 behind, but because small gaps all the way, many of the riders were at '0.

Stage 6
The last stage in yellow for Fränk. We all hopes for Cancellara today, but he’s a bit tired racing 6 days in a row.
Rosseler was the first to set a good time today
Then Cancellara made a very good ride, maybe he could win his second stage in the race?
Thomas Dekker was 5 seconds behind Fabian.
Then Devolder came and did a great time! 7 seconds in front of Cancellara!
Andy was too tight to deliver a good time-trial, but he beat some of the big guys, and finished on the ninth spot.
Yaroslav Popovych made a too good time-trial, he's too fat, three seconds in front of Devolder. He would probably win, because Hincapie and Vande Velde were the only ones that could do something with his lead, and they didn’t.
Vande Velde 8th.
Fränk became 53 seconds behind.
Popovych leads, and will probably win this race!
Dekker took the u25 jersey, and Andy will try to get it back tomorrow…

He won because there were 7-10 kilometers downhill. Both Devolder and Popo have better than 70 DH, but Cancellara just have 65... |

Hello. I have brand-new! I'm from Kazakhstan. I do cycling. I love this game. Can you tell me how to update the version of the game? Where then to correct NO-CD? Is it 2009 already convoys and racers commands? I do not know English very well, so I have difficulties on the site. I look forward to your help. Please reply ... (preferably in private messages) |
