Nice cap space available for new recruits. Good luck acquiring the new pirates!

@Marco - Hmm, i guess i'll take Marcos and risk the havoc Promotion ambitious pirates!
@knockout/alex - Glad i can provide perspective to make other managers look reasonable. Come back next year for potential sales when I can actually train my riders. Money does absolutely nothing for me this year.

With training, starting next year, Lagane looks like he could become a beautiful figurehead for Caribbean Cycling, very interesting statline to work with and could become a real threat at any level!

Very scared to have Lagane around the C1 races this year, his wage may be doubled but still far too low, shockingly low actually. Some very neat riders you now have ready to fight at the front, and I don't think aiming to have a promotion-contending squad coming out of transfers is unrealistic at all
Spoiler also how freaking awesome was Barbie!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

@wj - Mauritius continues to provide the power to the Caribbean machine. Eventually i'll get an actual Caribbean with leadership stats. Until then, Lagane and Meyer are my focus. Training may be limited due to CT budgets, i need that PCT promtion
@jandal - After years of being burned by the OVL/Wage calculations on Altur & Ewan i deserve this (although i'd argue he's spot on when you look at the DB as a whole).
I need to add one more good scorer to really feel comfortable about a promotion push. Good job i've got ~300k to play with, maybe 400k if i sack a couple of guys and stock up on stagieres.
Yes Barbie was awesome! Such a fun movie, and clever. I expected nothing less from Greta Gerwig & Noah Baumbach.

So this will be the first season I'll really see you competing for the results and we'll probably meet in some hilly races. Regarding the skillsets of Lagane and Mayer I'll probably only have a chance there if I can make those races hard enough for Teuns to get rid of them or manage to get Alaphilippe to the finish line with them. But I fear I'll probably curse many times about those bloody Caribbeans making my life miserable (reading the reports, not in public of course ...). But that's part of being a pirate I guess ...

I said this before but I just really love what you're doing with the team and I'm glad you're at the point now where the arrow starts pointing upwards again in terms of points and results. I also just now saw the new jersey and that really is a beauty, befitting of Podium Ambitions. Looking forward to that transfer plan as well as once again rooting for you in the upcoming season!

We've only met when fighting over Perez so far, iirc, and I assume we might meet a couple of times again in the future for similar Cubans/Puerto Ricans. Like to see what you're doing with the team and that your patience hopefully gets rewarded at least a bit this season now that some riders are maxed and getting better. Not a PT team sadly, so won't be able to welcome Perez, who apparently you chose another development for than what I had in mind (I think 76/76 TT/cobble was possible?). Best of luck during transfer season, looking forward to see what you have in mind. Think there are some fun regional/colourful talents in there for you as well again.

@kande - I need to write up a proper detailed team history, to show newer managers that i was once in the PT, was once sponsored by fish, and almost won the CT division. I wasn't always struggling at the bottom, and I am excited to build back upwards!
@cunego - Ezee did a great job, as he's done for everyone! The only downside about the arrow pointing upwards is that I can be dissapointed and miss expectations...
@Nemo - Perez was a victim of Altur-auma (Altur caused trauma) and a pivot away from cobbles. Plus with Campbell they'd be a bit too similar TT-CB vs the wage needs and usefulness, whereas now a couple of cheap-ish trainings can get Perez to 70/71 CB and a handy part of a wider cobbles unit, or going towards 78TT and a real CT capable leading trialist.
Come and have some good Cubans/Puerto Ricans. I'll fight you tooth and nail for them, but i'm about the wider project and will continue to support Caribbeans on other teams (like the Curacaoans at Carlsberg, Cuban at Minions, Barbadian at Elco etc).

It's really nice to see that the team is starting to shape up. Next season Croes and Alexander will be very interesting riders. Gonzalez and Abner are also useful next season and will max out to become very handy. Lagane, Le Court, Mayer, Hennis, Gayral, Campbell, Matthews, Major and Vanderpool are already solid.
Would be great to see you landing just one of those top CT leaders from your regional focus soon. Don't know what is planned to get through but I think it's needed to have a rider maxing at 79 with a decent backup to support it by now. We can't keep feeding a CT team 75-77 max key stat riders, and leave it for training. That can be done somewhat for me as a team starting in the PT, but you have no chance training your best talents to become 80+ riders.
I really hope you'll be able to put something together where a promotion is soon possible within your plans. Atleast you have a very young team that will max out as a very competitive top domestique level for CT and lower end of the PCT. Some are obviously going to be good enough to be PT riders too.
It's not much, but I definately hope to send Kelly in your direction, and maybe help develop another level 4 rider here and there on your way towards the PCT

Multiple Belgian teams? Boring, it's cycling what do you expect. Multiple beverage sponsors? Boring, it's cycling what do you expect. Two teams tied into protecting Sea Turtles? Unbelievable, and yet here we are.
A massive friendly (we hope) welcome to seancoll and SEE Turtles. Driving hard to make the CT the division of eco-friendliness and sustainability (looking at you Binance & Maersk). May you find great success finishing second behind us in many many races.
Very late to the response, but I'm excited to be joining and a season of seconds behind you would likely be a very strong entry into CT to find pride in. Don't worry, we've got many ideas into strengthening our sustainability measures throughout our time and promoting cycling throughout North, Central, and South America. Now that I think about it, there are sea turtles to protect in the Caribbean I hope to find ourselves in friendly waters come transfer season. |

@StoD - I've got PT Loans going out, but you might be surprised at my level of interest in Kelly. And thanks for the supportive words, teams coming together slowly but surely. I keep suggesting riders with quality, but they keep not being added! That's why i'm considering a push at promotion and breaking my regional focus for a couple of riders to do so, really force the MGUCI to support me! (or make traning cheaper for CT teams/lower potential riders - i'm gonna win the fight one way or another)
@seancoll - I know the Sea Turtles are there, i've been swimming with them in both Barbados and Antigua. Excited to see what you have lined up come Friday and onwards into the future. Friends or Rivals, both are good.

@Jak - Making it stronger!
@DW - Excited to race against you this year!
The Great Big "This Is For The Future" Post
Transfers! Fun, right?! Today we introduce the talents we acquired this year. Keeping that conveyor belt of development going, although the lack of a real contender option is starting to hurt.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Wge | Pot | | Jesus Roniel Marte | 66 | 65 | 68 | 65 | 68 | 69 | 66 | 68 | 66 | 68 | 68 | 66 | 62 | 68.88 | 1.0 | 22 | 50k | 4 | . | . | 71 | 65 | 73 | 65 | 73 | 72 | 69 | 75 | 66 | 68 | 73 | 67 | 62 |
Hailing from the Dominican Republic, Jesus adds yet another flag to our impressive collection. Hardly a stand out classic rider, but there's certainly a base here to work from with a bit of training.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Wge | Pot | | Kaden Hopkins | 65 | 60 | 64 | 67 | 70 | 63 | 63 | 55 | 70 | 72 | 63 | 67 | 70 | 68.03 | 1.0 | 23 | 50k | 5 | . | . | 72 | 60 | 65 | 68 | 73 | 70 | 74 | 55 | 79 | 79 | 63 | 68 | 77 |
The main talent of the year! Kaden Hopkins joins compatriot Connor White on the squad. Kaden can become a key figure in the future of the team, having a good sprint finish and prologue. We had hoped one of the best Caribbean talents, alongside Abner Gonzalez, would have a brighter future, but hey ho, we're digging in and doing what we can. A nice addition we can't wait to see in full flight.
There's more to come! We have "This Is For The Now" coming soon with more of a focus on battling for promotion. Until then, gif!

Hopkins was on my shortlist, but the second I saw you make the first-minute transfer thread for him. I decided to let him go, he deserves to stay in the Caribbean and grow with his local team.

Jesus is a lovely dom and Hopkins second best sprinter of this year's additions. 50k is great for them, congrats!
