Caps just kicked the crap out of the Rangers in Madison Square Garden after getting beaten at the Verizon Center in game 1 and 2.
I like the caps chances to move through to the next round |

I´m worried about the Sharks
They did an amazing job in this season and they are loosing twice against Anaheim :/
Washington could go to the finals like 1998 with Ovechkin they have the best player in the NHL at the moment
Hopefully they will face San Jose in the finals

I expect Bruins to win in the east, they have been a level above the rest, in the same way as Red wings and Sharks has been in the west.

Not really...
Yes, Boston was the top team in the east, but all the teams in the east (except possibly the Hurricanes and Canadiens) have the talent to beat them if they get hot, and Washington, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh can beat them no matter what. |

There are a few season ticket holders at Caps games who wear t-shirts that have the #8 and the name is Crosbyisadouche |

So a game 7 for the Caps and Rangers, the Caps seem to have the momentum now though. |

It was a great game, but there have been better ones. Still, Caps-Rangers game 7 is going to be sweet. Great job by Varlamov, we found our goal-tender |

Got this via Deadspin but AllHockey.Ru has photos the late Alexei Cherepanov undergoing some procedure, the intention is that he was blood doping. They claim Alexei himself sent the photos to his family and were called !addiction" and "addiction 2".

The official autopsy report lists blood doping as the cause of death. |

All first round matches in west has ended the biggest surprise is that Sharks lost to Ducks. The 2nd round matches look like this:
Red Wings - Ducks
Canucks - Blackhawks
I predict Red Wings to beat Ducks fairly easy, but you never know when in the playoffs. And then I think that Canucks will beat Blackhawks in 6-7 games.

Amazing how San Jose can have on paper the best team in the league and then fail so miserably.
It's not that they failed...it's that they failed so miserably.
Come playoff time, Thornton is worse than most 4th liners. insane.
As for Marleau, I have no idea what happened there....he's usually one of the league's most effective players in the playoffs but it's now 2 years in a row that he disappears... |

The owner of Phoenix Coyotes has declared the team bankrupt. The league has so far taken over control of the team, and will be representing the team in the bankruptcy negotiations.
Canadian rich guy Jim Balsillie is looking to buy the team, and move it to Canada.
