Nerz finally repays the superb support from his team with a stage win. Not spectacular, just grinding out the the win. Keeping the GC interesting.
Kraftwerk extend their lead in the Team competition, impressive riding from Denz, Geniez and Kiserlovski to stay in the top 15.
Can Haller get over the cat 2 tomorrow? I doubt it.

First not good day for Kuss, the earlier sharp climbs and the high pace which drove the early catch not in his favor. Still probably worse than I would have hoped. So maybe a bad day.
The IT and then a nasty hilly stage in the 4 days so his position could get considerably worse. Then hopefully the longer climbs in the last week more in his favor although the recovery and lack of team support might have begun to tell by then.
This race is important to figure out where the most return on training would come from

Wow 4 in the break and 3 in the finale and the best we get is 4th. Tactics weren't great, no cooperation in the finale and Granigan is the one they should have been protecting, but of course he the weakest climber so easier said than done.
But minor complaints can't fault the effort and this was always a good shot for the break so great that we made sure to be represented. Sponsor got plenty of exposure.

Congrats to Mre, took 3 mins back in the Team competition today despite very solid rides from Nerz, Geniez and Kiserlovski.
Only 7 seconds between the top 2 makes for an exciting second half.
Kraftwerk have another busy day tomorrow chasing for Haller.

I thought he had it after keeping the nice Haller-wheel the whole time. Great placement, but what a rocket-finisher in the middle there.

Back-to-back wins! And a well-deserved first win for Eric Young. Insane last hundred of meters to fly past everybody. He becomes only the third American behind TVG and Lawrence Warbasse to win a stage under my management.

Congrats to Mre for S13, Haller in the wind too early and Young took advantage, and to sgdanny for S14, Raileanu living up to his favourites billing.
S14 Denz & Nerz super strong. Nerz narrowly in the lead in GC keeping it exciting.
Kraftwerk domestiques are really going to earn their money now after a hard first 2 weeks.

Another dangerous stage crossed off, and in style. Third week is the test though, need to hope the recovery and team support issues don't become a problem. Good to see the team stills strong in the breaks.

Park on the front for 6km then wins the sprint! Nice reward for some great leadout work for Haller.
Nerz safely home in the leaders jersey. He will need good legs for the 5 climbs and 235km tomorrow
