looking forward to seeing Davis winning a few stages there
wont be easy because Bettini and Schumacher had announced that they will be also in California. But we can assume that all of them will be early season form..let's see. I notice a "game week" ago that Davis training lightly just 30%..and form is around 60. Decided not to push him. |

Amgen Tour of California
Well back at home..this should be moment. Pressure from Bruyneel and co-owner Armstrong doesn't help at all. If I gonna succesful
now they gonna say we did it, but if I fail there is a chanche to get fired
Tour himself presented possible winners and favorites:Frank Schleck, Michael Boogerd,Paolo Bettini, Kim Kirchen, Cadel Evans
Thats my team for that:
I would like to see Brjakovic in squad...but he was only man who sayd no for that tour.
Li - he is almost in top form...and will be 100% team helper and water carrier.
Paulinho - he is in decent form already, don't like take a risk to go with fresh squad just to train again.
Hincapie - My team leader
Danielson- Back up leader or leader helper.
Davis and Bileka - sprint power
Meersman and McCartney - helpers

(2. stage - hills)
Breakaway group:Addy Engels,Lucas Euser , Brian Dziewa, Iñigo Cuest,John Fredy Parra Calada
Davis dont push 100% ,I try to hold him for the sprint stages.
Cant have enough at that view Hincapie in yellow
In final curve Noe falls, this will definatly affect Liquigas team plans. That spectator in orange has choosen good place to wach.
Paulinho job is done. Hincapie sprints...he is clearly in best shape on main raiders group.

AMGEN Tour of California
sprint stage
This is one unposted story i finished at 7 in the morning...and was so tired to take nice shots for sprint finish.
Solo breakaway man Dries Devenyns PREDICTOR - LOTTO ..poor pastard. At the end he was bigest looser ,time: + 17'39 to the winner.
Well like I sayd i missed a screenshot but this was fine sprint..first in mass sprint I can feel it's possible to win. Both sprinters Bileka and Davis nice in the picture. Bileka was in bit better shape.

issoisso has tour or director has invited some big names...top riders:
Robbie McEwen, Bernhard Eisel, Mathias Kessler, "tin-tin" Rebellin
He also calls me has friend to get some stars, but sadly I have to say that Tour of California is on the run and I can send you just quite modest squad. I promised that Murn has grown in great shape and gonna battle with not so good McEwen and Eisel. Ofcorse he laught but let's see.
Disco squad for Algarve:

Volta ao Algarve (stage 1) Albufeira - Faro
Some bad hills on the way thrue the finish. But still seams like gonna end with mass sprint. I left Vaitkus out of squad because of this mountains...he dont gonna last to sprint over this.
Five riders "Joachim breakaway group." Peloton caches them later easily. We will see first stage to end with mass sprint
There is big battle who gonna get back of McEwen rear wheel. Murn form is good, when sprint starts he is a little to far from front.
Now we see almost same moment McEwen positioning - this guy know exactly how and where need to be placed in right moment and is worth any of penny of his salary.
and here he go's absolut dominating. No chance for Eisel and Costa. Murn doing well 5.th. thats ok for start.

AMGEN Tour of California Stockton - San José
Important stage..if i can survive this...I have a chanche to win all tour. All ended for me - big tactic lesson
In the first mountain all Liquigas team go's front and set's madly high tempo. They still hope drop lot's of riders to get Noe back to hit distance. All riders suffers and Hincapie is one of them.
Happens what we all expected yellow jersey Euser and 4.th place Cuesta cant follow.
We have to raise our hats to Euser. In the downhill section he managed to join main group thanks to Cioni. I next climb he fight's 100%..good ride. But enough has enough he drop's again and this time for good.
Nightmare begins 4km. before finish when Hincapie settles himself on final sprint Riis team fools me for good Zabriskie attacks and another TT threat Ronny Scholz follows. Hincapie is way to behind on the group to counter.
And that's it they played me out. That picture reminds me in every newspaper next day. Oh dear..I have to ride 110% TT to beat Zabriskie..still few stages to go..I'm gonna fight thrue the end.

Thanks its all nice to get feedback
Hard it is ..and practising this first time..and damn hard it is just one prologue win so far... but i think i am improving moving closer and closer all the time. Most of all it's still pure fun. |
