The thing about wattages is the absolute maximum limit is an example of an absolutely perfect human (which nobody is close to, even the top cyclists/athletes) in perfect conditions (which again, very rarely occur). well, it's not an excact science. Try to find a source explaining humans natural limits! It's hard maybe even impossible. That humans can't go beyond lets say 6.1 watt/kg/hour is not a scientific fact!
What wattage readings can be used to though, is to compare various performances! |

I strongly oppose people calling other people dumbasses. This is a place where we politely consider other people idiots, but doesnt say it out loud.
Besides, im afraid to inform you that its fair game to bring up Lance in a discussion of doping. This is afterall "No barriers in your mind" and a "society where we can speak without getting yelled at".

It's just that most of times, people are very touchy when it comes about Armstrong in a doping discussion. |

Yes, waghlon's huge head and microscopic testicles clearly indicate steroid use. I propose we ban him from the site for 2 year.s

Guys, stop spamming
Anyway, about people being close-minded, I'd say I have seen far worse examples on this site. You can have a serious discussion here without getting 'killed', but of course, there's always exceptions such as MrContador who prefer calling people "jerks" if the say something that he dislikes.
Good luck with your project, though, Dan_Grr. It sounds interesting |

The only reason I said that he was a jerk, was because he said that "Contador was doped". If he said that "I think Contador is doped" it would be okay, but he said that he was a doper.
edit: And it's a bigger insult to call a guy a doper, than a jerk.

because the Lance discussion gets far more heated. You seem to be the only one who thinks contador isn't doped.

Yeah, because it's many more people who think Lance was clean, sure. I mean, honestly, the guy won 7 TdF in a row, most of the times with over 5 minutes down to number two, who was doped. And Contador who won the Tour with 23 seconds once. And he was 4 seconds in front of Ricco before the last Giro d'Italia stage, yet you think it's a bigger chance that Contador was/is doped? |

now you finally get it.
Lance is different. He is a feel good story. Its like, if anyone watched the olympics open ceremony, that the kid that came out with Yao ming, that people found out that he didnt really save them. Almost every american wants him to be clean. He was a WORLD CHAMPION (few people know that) and finds out he has cancer. HUGE chance he dies. But no. he fights back and wins the TDF. How fucking awesome. Not to mention that he started a HUGE charity that is aiding the search for cancer cures. How can you hate a man who came back from cancer, wins, and donates a bunch of money into finding a cure for cancer.
