I have just applied to the game (I think anyway.) Thats if you still need someone else. Sounded like you did.
Edit: I think i did the right thing... I applied anyway. I'm sure Waggy will let me know if i haven't

Yepp, you can. Either by asking the league boss to inactivate you or if he himself have been away for more than 10 days, it's less than 2 weeks remaining of the season or the season has ended then you can leave the league with a button on the Team Settings page.
