Spanish Liga

I'm a Valencia fan (and season ticket holder).

Agree about Barça, btw. I didn't mind them too much before, but the last years their becoming pretty unbearable. Yes, they play a great football. Yes, they do use a few home grown players. But it's as if they were sent by god to show us the right path. They do nothing wrong. Their style is the only style. So tiresome.

RM is even worse, though. They're so arrogant you can't describe it with words.

In France and Germany is situation a lot better (well except Schalke) and in England situation is bad too, mainly because of big transfers and wages spending (Arsenal has huge debt because of the new stadium, but it is going down every year).

This is list of the clubs with biggest debts in Europe:
Ranking Club Debt
1. Manchester United £716m
2. Chelsea (Limited) £701m
3. Valencia C.F £501m
4. Liverpool £351m
5. Real Madrid £296m
6. FC Barcelona £273m
7. AS Roma £271m
8. Schalke 04 £234m
9. Arsenal £203m
10. Fulham £198m

Schalke rescently made it below 200million € debt which would be around £168m.

Valencia is nice team too, but i lost a track of them a bit in the past years as they are not so great as few years back.
I will never forget their phenomenal road through CHL in 99/00 with Mendieta, Diego Lopez, Killy Gonzalez and Canizares, one of the best matches i have ever seen in semi-finals with Barca Smile
I'll be back

Yeah, those were great times. Smile

It's Claudio López btw. Diego is Villarreal's GK. Pfft

So I guess Barca's chances of wining the league are gone with this very humiliating loss ( imo ) to Osasuna.

And if Mou doesn't win La Liga... well I guess he should really leave Real, they've got everything under control, it's all about them now.

I totally agree. Their chances are almost gone by now.

Fun fact : With Ronaldo scoring against Betis, he now has scored against every opponent he has faced in La Liga during his three seasons there, these are 26 teams now. Smile
It was goal n.97 in match number 90, epic.

Two incredible goals for Real Madrid, Benzema and CR7, i just love them. I like this more than playing the ball into the empty net after the 30 passes Wink
Goal from Benzema reminds me of Van Basten.

To compare Benzema's and Van Basten's goals is as wrong as to compare Tony Martin to Miguel Indurain.

Still a great goal though.

I think Roberto Carlos goal of a few years ago was beter as Van Basten.
Valencia is looking to draw in Madrid so FC Dwarf comes as close as 4 points.

indeed, Valencia did nothing else as defend and counter...
That co-commentator on Sky sports 3 is a total dickhead.
His theory of football: Ronaldo always dives, Messi never dives. Rolling Eyes was this his first ever match or what?

I saw Valencia hitting the woodwork twice and having several other chances, most of them much more clear than Madrid's long range shoots. But I guess counter-attack football is only good when Madrid does it. Rolling Eyes

I was in Bernabéu Smile

Valencia did pretty well and was quite unlucky to not score, and Real just behaved like 10 year olds when they were right in front of the goal Grin

@Kiserlovski: well, I thought he wasn't good as he dropped far too many easy shots.

Nevertheless, a great experience today for me Smile (especially considering I'm used to second league German football Pfft)

Apart from that there was never a open chance for Valencia (i'm not saying real had chances) they did the same as Real: long distance shots. With more luck Valencia would have won.
