Im very happy that they catch guys like ricco its a sign that the scientists made a great job to detect the newest dopings.
Now im sure that the tour de france will be more interesting.
And its good that the saunier duval team left the tour because their were surely other cyclists in their team who were positiv. |

A bit of logic:
Contador won the giro.
Ricco is doped
Contador is doped too?
My bet is for next year:
Contador!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nah:
let's give him the doubt! but he will be a hunted man. |

Great day for us..isso..let's have a party. Cocky asshole is out. I should not..but I am happy..sry for that.
Playing after smart guy..he's climbing improvment was amazing this year. last year he was left behind almost at any Giro mountain stage..(beside one stage win).
"90% of peloton sucks.."..man sayd..Indeed.
And one more proof there is no aliens in cycling cyrcle ..they are just dopers.
Ok Isso take your dopers list out again who is next. |

there is no dope testing at the giro or the vuelta, that's the whole problem. there's just pretend testing
Someone asked about Moreau:
Moreau says he had back problems all year, but the expectations of the team on him were so great that he was afraid to let them down so he tried to ride through the pain and hid his problems until he absolutely could not go on anymore.

I'm disappointed in the whole situation. The result of this all is that everybody who is doing well becomes suspected. I don't like doping, but I did like the action Ricco and the Saunier Duval team delivered in the mountains.

I think the reason why you haven't seen Efimkin doing that well in the Tour before is because he's riding his first Tour
Good point kadel
And Stijn you probably haven't watched the Vuelta last year? Efimkin was placed 2nd in the GC (Behind Menchov) until stage 17. And after having a difficult last week he ended up 6th after the final stage. |

by the way, the other riders beside Riccò that have "coincidentally" been tested "randomly" a bucketload of times each, are Ballan, Cunego, F.Schleck, Cancellara, and a couple more who I can't remember right now.
If Cunego is caught doping i don't think i'll watch cycling again for a while, F Schleck and Cancellara wouldn't suprise me but i hope they aren't dopin, especially with their teams strict anti doping program

If Piepoli has tested positive it would not surprise most of us I am sure, Saunier's withdrawal yesterday was a clear sign that they want to get out of the media spotlight and quick too, and there has to be a reason for that.

Statement from the french police: "interesting things have been found in Riccò's hotel room. We won't say what until it's fully analised"
I remind you all that if it's drugs, it's an automatic 2 year prison sentence. And if they can prove he bought them abroad and brought them to France, the sentence becomes 5 years.
bye bye Riccardo. hope to never see you again.
From L'Équipe : at least one more Saunier rider has tested positive for the same substance as Riccò, so far.

Breaking news: Riccò and Piepoli fired by Saunier.
well, that confirms the news of Piepoli's positive test...
EDIT: the team lists the reasons for dismissing both as "doping practices"

Saunier must either be involved or had known before-hand that Piepoli was doping, or Piepoli admitted it to them yesterday before the stage started. |

I'm not surprised. When i saw Piepoli win the other day, i knew. Just knew. The way he looked when he came over the line was like "oh shit, what have i done, i'm gunna get caught." I'm just sorry for myself because now, after all this, i have finally lost any hope at any clean riders. As Paul Kimmage wrote in his book "Rough Ride", "If the organisers of the tour tested every rider on one single day, over 30-40 of them would test positive for some substance." And i feel i have to agree. With this "new" strain of EPO out on the market, or should i say, available to buy, i reckon a shit load of cyclists thought it would be undetectable for years or a year at least and now are trying to avoid being tested and caught (Moreau for example - his reaction on second questioning of why he retired was instantly a kind of "no, im not doped" before anyone even accused him.) It's a sad day, even for me, when i think that all riders are doped to the eyeballs, or HAVE taken something at somepoint in their career.
(and here comes some input by issoisso in response... probably shooting down anything i've said)

I would bet he probably tested positive on stage 4, when the team randomly chosen for all of it's riders to be tested was Saunier.

I don't really think so, but his reaction was a bit weird.

Not everyone. but I have no doubt the majority are still doing what they can get away with.

don't be extreme. be happy that cheaters are being caught. This way, it's another small step towards changing mentalities of young riders and it's another drug that the riders know they'll be caught if they use, so it's less of a performance gap between clean and doped riders
