I like it, very tough to judge how much to invest. Spilak looks pretty good for his initial price, upgrades might not be worth it. But let's try anyway:
Spilak: +4 SPR, +4 COB, +4 REC, +3 ACC, +2 RES, +1 MON, +1 HIL
No upgrades for Fraile.

I'm thinking just 4 doctors make the game too small - will off course run the race anyway, but might be the last one. Was hoping for like 6-8 players / race.
LAST CALL IF ANYONE WANT TO BE A PART OF PARIS-NICE

It is 15°C, mostly sunny, expected wind at 12-20 km/hour, there will be 4,2,1 KoM points on the finish line.
Juul Jensen (MTS) and Stannard (Sky) opens what is to become the breakaway of the day, many riders attempt to join them but it is only Nielands (ICA) and De Gendt who will make it to the first group. De Gendt being the only focus rider to attempt anything in the early part of the race.
With 116 km left we get a huge crash, taking down 39 riders and another 93 getting blocked, with just 22 riders not losing any time.
Sergio Luis Henao (UAE) and Toms Skujins (Trek – Segafredo) can’t continue the race. All of our focus riders, did not fall and are all sitting in the large group, besides of course De Gendt,
We are now at the points sprint, distance to the peloton 1’57 with 99 km left.
Nielands fastest, in front of De Gendt and Stannard.
On the approx. 40 km from the sprint to the first KoM climb, the few riders sitting between the breakaway and the peloton are reeled in. We got some 20 km/hour crosswind from time to time stretching the bunch.
Best placed out of our focus riders Dennis in 15-20th position. Also well placed in the better 1/3, Spilak, Bennati, Molard and Fraile. Monfort sitting close to the middle and Søren Kragh hanging dangerously low in the last quarter of the bunch.
But the acceleration never comes and the group does not break.
De Gendt attacks for the 1th KoM from 750 meters, but he crack close to the top and finish last, the KoM was won by Juul Jensen
The next and final KoM climb, comes up just a few km after the first, Juul Jensen opens from 1 km leading all the way to the top, Christopher Juul Jensen will wear the leader jersey tomorrow, Thomas De Gendt get 2 points passing the last KoM in 2nd position.
Meanwhile the peloton getting close now just 1’10” behind.
Thomas De Gendt makes a last acceleration winning the final intermediate sprint before the breakaway gets caught with more than 35 km left.
From about km 15 it is UAE Team Emirates leading the pack. Dennis and Spilak very fine positioned sitting in the group right behind the paceline. Also Molard and Bennati in the better 1/3, Fraile a little further back.
De Gendt, Monfort and especially Kragh hanging very low, in danger of losing time if they do not start to move forward.
A little less than 2 km to the finish line, we got a relative steep climb leading up to the finish 8-9%, the last 700 meters cobbled. The main stage contenders have taken the front Valgren, Martinez for Woods, Gasperotto, Kreuziger for Martin, S. Yates.
Dennis and Spilak very well placed, but also Molard and Fraile still in this for a potentially great result.
The sprint started by Ulissi under the red kite, both Dennis and Spilak have improved a little over the steep section. Rudy Molard sitting in the back of what we could call the favorite group about 30th position, although no official time gaps has been reported in the bunch.
Wow ! Simon Spilak very fast on the cobbled section, overtaking rider by rider until he, in last second, throws his bike over the line beating Simon Yates with millimeters.
Spilak wins the stage in Meudon.
Rohan Dennis just miss out on top 20 not able to overtake Astana’s Davide Ballerini
Although fighting bravely both Rudy Molard (34th) and Omar Fraile (44th) not able to score any stage rank points at this stage, neither was off course any of our other focus riders, Maxime Monfort (61th), Daniele Bennati (69th), Søren Kragh Andersen (70th) or Thomas De Gendt (83th)

It is a windless spring day with 12°C and an almost clear sky.
De Buyst (LST) opens the stage with Phinney (EF1) at wheel, but many riders try their luck this fine morning, with 17 riders having a gap to the bunch. The breakaway include Thomas De Gendt, but also including stage favourite Kristoff the bunch have to react and it is brought back after 12 kilometers
Next attempt is initiated by Cavagna (DQS) and we get the breakaway of the day, six riders with Cavagna best placed in GC as 66th at +57”, Sajnok (CPT) wins the first points sprint.
Most cycling races have their serious crashes today we get one after 76 km, 18 riders down another 8 lose time, the most important effect is that Adrien Petit from Direct Energie quits the race, the other are all back after just 8 km.
There was no focus rider in the crash. With not 50 km left let’s take a look at how the are sitting in the bunch.
Fraile is sitting a bit low in the rear 1/3 of the bunch, a little surprising as he has fine sprint and is strong on a slightly undulated finish like this one. Monfort right behind Fraile, De Gendt another 5-6 riders down the line, all three in danger of losing time in case of a crash or a split. Molard some 10 to 15 riders in front of Fraile not exactly well placed but a little closer to the middle.
Best placed is Dennis protected by Tratnik and right behind the paceline. Race leader Spilak also fine in about 30th position but not to many teammates around the race leader. Bennati at the right side of Spilak, seemingly leading the positioning of the Movistar team, with three teammates right behind him. Søren Kragh some 20 riders behind Spilak sitting alone with most of his team in front of him. A riders with some potential on a stage like this, having a free role today?
Just before the bunch passes under the 20 km banner, the pace gets seriously higher. We are approaching the small but still difficult hill leading up to the last point sprint and positioning is important in case of a split.
Fraile still hiding between the last 25 riders in the bunch, clearly without ambitions on today’s stage.
Monfort also rather far back but at least seems to move forward. The same goes for Molard whereas De Gendt dramaticly improved now in the better 1/3 of the bunch.
Race leader Spilak still in about 30th position but no help around the race leader, Katusha’s focus on Marcel Kittel today.
Movistar including Bennati have fallen back to the middle of the pack, they have no top sprinter and it seems like Daniele is not allowed to give it a go, must be all about getting Richard Carapaz to the line.
Rohan Dennis have fallen back, now also sitting alone but he is still in the better 1/3 of the group.
And dream’s about Kragh having a free role vanished now as he is leading Michael Matthews up to the very front helping the teammate over the hill.
There is just 38” left between the breakaway and the pack.
Sajnok (CPT) also wins the 2nd points sprint. What is more important the peloton lets go of the gas and the distance starts to increase again.
It seems that the bunch have stopped the chase completely, while Wallays (LTS) and Sajnok (CPT) have attacked from the breakaway. With 5km to the line the duo has 9” to Rosskopf (CPT) who is obviously not chasing and Gaudin (TDE), the pack is at 2’49 clearly giving it to the break.
Szymon Sajnok wins the stage in Vierzon, and with the points he picked up of the intermediate sprints also takes the points lead. With the entire breakaway finishing in front of the pack, Sagan sprint just for 7th winning the bunch sprint.
Best of our focus riders race leader Simon Spilak 16th and Rohan Dennis 27th
With Rudy Molard 63th, Daniele Bennati 64th, Omar Fraile 75th, Maxime Monfort 92th, Søren Kragh Andersen 115th, Thomas De Gendt 116th. The entire pack get the same time as Sagan.
Another very strong day from Spilak clearly outscoring the other focus riders. Spilak and Dennis again the only two taking stage ranking points.

No protection for the race leader, disgraceful. But I shouldn't complain, some easy additional money from that stage. Spilak will surely lose the jersey on the next stage, but he seems well on his way to the result I was hoping for at the start, a top 20 finish.

@Croatia14
Not sure the game will be continued, less time due to new work combined with little interest from the site members. Lets see when this one is over, I might ask how many is interested and if we get enough start another race.

It is sunshine 10°C and just a light breeze.
Edet (COF) opens the stage and soon a breakaway of 5 riders form, with Hivert, Ligthart, Sicard all from Direct Energie and De La Parte (CPT), over the first 30 km especially Thomas De Gendt work very hard at the front of the peloton, trying to close it down and holds the gap at 25-30”, but eventually the group drift away and also Durbridge (MTS) attacks and join the escapees.
Ligthart won the point sprint, at this point the distance was 4’18, but it shrink to 2’51 before the break pass the top of the first Cat.3, won by Hivert.
Taylor Phinney (Education First) leads the peloton over the climb.
Best placed of our riders Dennis right behind the pace line, as expected also race leader Spilak close to the front. Kragh Andersen and Bennati also very well placed.
Molard and Fraile sitting fine in the center of the pack, whereas De Gendt and Monfort together, but hanging a bit low.
Hivert again first on the 2nd KoM, this time in a very close sprint with teammate Sicard and Durbridge (MTS), the distance now 2’30”
Jasper Philipsen (UAE) leads the poloton over the climb, the situation the same with regards to our focus riders, Dennis right behind the pace line, Spilak with a teammate inside top 20, Kragh on par with Spilak and just a row further back Bennati although it might seem like he is protection a teammate.
Molard further back but clearly hanging on to the large chunk of riders not likely to be dropped at this point and just a few rows behind him Fraile.
De Gendt and Monfort sitting a little more in danger where the pack is getting more thin and stretched.
Phinney, Bak, Kristoff and Breschel lead the peloton on the section leading up to the intermediate sprint. Hivert takes the sprint. Sunwebs Casper Pedersen and Søren Krag Andersen sendt to the front to work for Michael Matthews (not the best news for Krags possibility’s on the stage).
The Danish duo set a brutal pace and reeled in the breakaway before the last and also hardest climb today. The KoM placed 19.5 km from the finish. Tratnik attacks from the bunch with 300 meter to the top, but was countered and passed in last second by Ulissi.
This time we have seen a general improvement of positioning by all over focus riders. Dennis passing in 4th position but all our riders inside the leading group of 98 riders and none in immediate danger of getting dropped, Molard most improved his position now side by side with the race leader.
Traknik closes Ulissi down over the top and Michael Valgren leads the bunch on most the downhill. Then with 5 km left we are about the reach the steep wall up to the finish. Tratnik have taken the front again.
De Gendt and Monfort again hanging too low seems unlikely they will reach the front and get a result today. Søren Kragh also rather far back and as we know he used energy in the pace also unlikely to improve much, whereas Omar Fraile just a few rows down on the leading chunk of rider still have time to get a fine result.
Dennis, Spilak, Bennati and Molard all very well positioned to make a fine result. Although it still could look like Bennatiis working for a teammate.
Roglic attacks from 2 km, Molard in a great position ready to join the riders countering the move. Dennis, Spilak, Bennati and now also Fraile in the group, all still in a fine position to make a result.
All our focus riders in the pack, although further back than those mentioned.
Roglic first under the red kite, but over the next 700 meters a strong acceleration from Edvald Boasson Hagen (Dimension Data) have closed the gap, he is now side by side with Roglic.
We got three focus riders left between the first 24 riders, who has now distanced everyone else with 22” or more, Molard best positioned and a few places further back Dennis and Spilak
Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Dimension Data) wins the stage in Châtel-Guyon, in front of Michael Matthews and Simon Yates.
Primoz Roglic exploded and fell back to 6th over just 300 meters
Our three focus riders crosses the line all within a few centimeters, Rohan Dennis 14th, Rudy Molard 15th and Simon Spilak 17th.
Daniele Bennati as one of the fastest in the next group also makes it into the stage points as 27th, this group loses 33”

No shame in losing the jersey to EBH. We'll see how well Spilak will perform from now on. But it sure looks like Dennis will fight for the win, maybe take the lead after the ITT.

It is 11°C quite clouded but no wind at all.
After 4 riders setting times above 30’, Louis Vervaeke (Team Sunweb) first to break the half hour with 29’35” more than a minute faster then 2nd best Julien El Faras. Soon we get another good time Larry Warbasse (Ag2r La Mondiale) with 29’06.
Starting as 128 in GC at 4’45” Steve Morabito (Groupama – FDJ) first to set a really combatable time 28’08” this could easily be a top ten result
A look at the best full times before we get to our first focus rider
2nd Simon Geschke (CCC Team) +13”
3rd Nico Denz (Ag2r La Mondiale) +24”
4th Joey Rosskopf (CCC Team) +26”
5th Mark Padun (Bahrain – Merida) +28”
6th Damien Howson (Mitchelton-Scott) +32”
Starting as 83 in GC at 3’10”, Thomas De Gendt start as our first focus rider, with a fine tempo in the early climb 7th best at first sector 20” behind Steve Morabito, He finishes 8th best losing a total of 34” to Morabito, maybe a bit disappointing but we must have in mind that Steve Morabito’s time was very fine.
22 riders start between our two first focus riders, Steve Morabito still in the hot seat but behind him some changes:
2nd David De la Cruz (Team Sky) 9”
3rd Simon Geschke (CCC Team) +13”
4th Brent Bookwalter (Mitchelton-Scott) +19”
5th Nico Denz (Ag2r La Mondiale) +24”
6th Joey Rosskopf (CCC Team) +26”
Starting as 60th in GC at 2’07”, Maxime Monfort not as fast as teammate De Gendt, on the first sector he loses 28” the same goes for 2nd sector with a total loss of 54” Monfort currently 19th.
Another 10 riders start before our next focus rider, but none of them has any impact on our leaderboard.
Søren Kragh Andersen 49th in GC at 1’32”, although not the strongest climber Søren Kragh Andersen is a fine puncher and also ok in ITT’s, so it is quite a negative surprise to see him lose 53” on the first sector alone. The finish as 54th best losing 1’40”
Our next focus rider Daniele Bennati started right behind Søren Kragh, 48th in GC at 1’32”.
The set a +54” first sector, but not too disappointing Bennati not well equipped for this type of stage.
Full time 51st at +1’30”
Another 11 riders before our next focus rider is set to go, but still no changes in our leaderboard.
Starting as 36th at 41” Omar Fraile lose 27” over the first sector to Morabito.
A few moments later we get a new best first sector time from Michal Kwiatkowski
Fraile passes the finish line as 16th at +44”, that is quite good from him.
Michal Kwiatkowski set new best full time 27’58” 9” faster than Morabito
Our next focus rider Rudy Molard start as 18th at 8”, he loses 35” to Kwiatkowski at first sector as 31th. Not the best tempo rider but still a bit too much.
Wout Poels beat Kwiatkowski with 2” at full time
Rudy Molard finish as 26” with a fine 2nd sector 1’02” behind Poels
Richie Porte new best first sector 12’40”
Dennis starts as 12th at 8”, setting 2nd best first sector just 2” behind Porte.
At this point the full time leaderboard look like this:
1 Wout Poels Team Sky 27'56" 2 Michal Kwiatkowski Team Sky + 2 3 Steve Morabito Groupama - FDJ + 11 4 David De la Cruz Team Sky + 20 5 Roman Kreuziger Team Dimension Data +22 6 Tony Gallopin Ag2r La Mondiale + 23
Bob Jungels set new 2nd best first sector
Primoz Roglic set new best first sector
Simon Spilak set new best first sector
Rohan Dennis finish 4th at +9”
It has started to rain a little.
As mentioned Spilak leads at the first sector, this is the full time leaderboard at he is getting close to the finish line.
1 Primoz Roglic Team Jumbo-Visma 27'43 2 Richie Porte Trek - Segafredo + 6 3 Bob Jungels Deceuninck-Quick Step + 9 4 Romain Bardet Ag2r La Mondiale + 10 5 Wout Poels Team Sky + 12 6 Simon Yates Mitchelton-Scott + 12
Simon Spilak new best full time 27’41 and with race leader Edvald Boasson Hagen finishing as 23th on the stage, Spilak not only wins the race but also regain the race lead.
New GC focus riders:
1 Simon Spilak Team Katusha- Alpecin 13h07'04 7 Rohan Dennis Bahrain - Merida + 25 23 Rudy Molard Groupama - FDJ + 1'24 26 Omar Fraile Astana Pro Team + 1'50 50 Maxime Monfort Lotto Soudal + 3'26 51 Daniele Bennati Movistar Team + 3'27 53 Søren Kragh Andersen Team Sunweb + 3'37 66 Thomas De Gendt Lotto Soudal s.t.
