Bouygues Télécom (Interesting to see how high Voeckler and Florencio will finish, both being all round riders).
or
Crédit Agricole (Hushovd for the last two stages)
or
Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni - Androni Giocattoli (Simoni can win a mountain stage)
or
CSF Group - Navigare (Strong mountain team)

Could you get rid of them please. Its up to whoever picks the team over which riders they pick. Not you. By all means talk about the merits of each team but actually posting a squad list for them is going a tad too far

I know, but I thought I would help out. I don't know if their are many people left who want to make an effort to compile a squad.
Edit: Well someone proved me wrong before I even posted.

SportingNonsense? Are you going to report about the stages including screen shots or are you just going to post the results?
I hope the first, because I would like to see how the stages and the race develop. |

Tour de Pain - Stage 1
The first ever Tour de Pain takes on an 8 stage route and begins with a 48km TTT along the Chrono des Herbiers route. 20 teams are participating - but just which one will rule the roads today?
It certainly won't be CSF Navigare! Matteo Priamo is their best TTer with 68 TT, and the team has no other rider with a TT stat above 60. Their team leader Emmanuelle Sella (55 TT) led them across the line and they were one of only 2 teams to finish with 9 riders. 20th place +2'56.
Next up we have the control team of Rock Racing. Santiago Botero is the Colombian TT Champion while Oscar Sevilla is a strong climber. Team leader Mario Cipollini led them over the line. 19th place +2'30.
The team of Danilo di Luca was fairly anonymous today. Waghlon's troops finished 18th, +2'18.
Smoothie will hope that his Lampre team improve on their performance today. They were very nearly caught by the stage's winners and finish 17th +2'08.
Barloworld's hopes were hindered by the fact that leaders Soler and Pfannburger are both poor TTers. They were the 2nd team to finish with all 9 riders and were 1'55 down in 16th.
When you think of TTTs you dont ever think of Euskaltel-Euskadi. They will be much more at the forefront later in the race. 15th place +1'50
One of the last teams to be picked was Ag2r. They are good, yet unspectacular and may be fairly anonymous in this race - but lets hope not! 14th place +1'38
Well and truly a French team, Francaise des Jeux were led in the TTT by Benoit Vaugrenard and will turn to Sandy Casar and Sebastien Joly when the road steepens. Today they were 13th +1'34
Sylvain Chavanel could be a dark horse for a Top 10 GC finish as he is a very all round rider. His Cofidis team won the battle of the French teams, goin 12th +1'27
Let's move on to Liquigas, who were led across the line by Charly Wegelius. Wegelius will be looking forward to more hard work this race in support of team leader Franco Pellizotti. Liquigas were 11th +1'25
Moving onto the top 10 and Saunier Duval. They will relish the mountains in this race, but wont be looking forward to the cobbles. Ricco and his team were 10th, 1'20 down on the day's winners.
Despite having the Spanish TT Champion in Jose Ivan Gutierrez, Caisse d'Epargne could do better than 9th, +1'19.
With Stijn Devolder tipped to shine, Quick Step were looking for a good start. 8th place +1'14 is what they got.
Geroslteiner are the final team to be over a minute behind the day's winners. +1'02 in 7th.
There was no magic from Fabian Cancellara today, his CSC team finished 6th +56. But the team manager levi4life will be pleased to know that Sastre and the Schlecks all finished on the same time (Only O'Grady was dropped)
Crusing in at 5th, 55 seconds behind the winning team were the Rabobank team. A good start for Menchov and Dekker.
Cadel Evans' Silence-Lotto team are well placed having taken 4th today: +32
During training they are often referred to as the Men in Black, but while riding they must be known as the Men on Black instead. Alberto Contador can be satisfied with 3rd place though, with the Yellow jersey within reach at 22 seconds.
So just two teams left! Two American teams aswell. Two American teams who recently got new sponsors. But which team won?
In 2nd place ...
... at a deficit of 11 seconds ...
... a team with 3 National jerseys ...
... one of whom is David Millar - Garmin-Chipotle are 2nd today.
So Columbia are the winners and Marco Pinotti takes the Yellow jersey! But if I were helGn, I would be disappointed with my team's ride as Columbia had 4 riders with 78 TT, 2 riders with 77 TT and 1 rider with 76 TT. How on earth did they only win by 11 seconds? Perhaps the answer is Kim Kirchen. The team's leader only has 68 TT, and lost 13 seconds on his teammates.

The Saunier Duval manager has this comment after the rcae: "It was a very strong performance by the team today, only losing 1'20 to a very strong Colombia team, but i must say that CSC was very diapointing today, only managing to get 6th on a TTT".

i would have to say despite winning, my team slightly disapointed me today. i was putting all my horses on them cruising in with kim at a better time than this so he could hold on for some more days in yellow. well well. atleast the tour de pain raceplan was set up really good for my columbiateam. and was going all in for the stagewin and yellow jersey! FUCKING ROCKS! mission acomplished! sn i really like your iniative with this one! i felt the exitment as i was reading down the result. AWESOME STUFF.
and after writing this my disapointment went flying out the window
