Wegelius isn't allowed to ride for Britain anymore because the last time he did, because he rides for Liquigas, he actually rode for the Italian national team only in the kit of GB.
He disregarded team orders and worked for the Italians
But yes, I would rather have Hayles, Lloyd or a Downing.

Yes, I knew Wegelius would be unlikely - but they seem to have forgiven Tom Southam who also rode for Italy that day, having signed him up for the Halford Bikehut team

Who wants horrible news? I have two pieces of them
1. This "new EPO" that Riccò was caught on that "was only available this year" was actually being used by riders way back in 2004.
2. This is the third generation of EPO, and the 4th one is being researched right now. It's Genetically modified DNA that is added to your body through a virus, to increase natural EPO production in the body. Animal trials, showed a death rate of 90%, when injected into rats.
The virus being used to inject it can only be traced for about 3 days, so it's basically nearly impossible (theoretically) to trace this fourth generation...
That's just grim news.

The gist of it: The laboratory at the university of Extremadura in spain e-mailed about 10 teams, offering to help them regulate their riders' dope. The e-mail was signed "Marcos Maynar", the doctor for the LA-MSS team.
Hans Geyer meanwhile says they've suspected for a long time that there is a lab somewhere in europe where the athletes are "pre-tested" so that the teams will know when to stop doping to avoid passing the threshold where they will be caught.
The teams the mail was sent to include several teams currently in the Tour.
Geyer says he will relay this information to spanish authorities who, as we all know, will do all they can to cover up the situation.

Hahaha, that would be amazing, however, I would only go along with it if all the riders on the team have to wear wings, just like the commercials.
Actually, that would be great, although its bad that Cycling in germany is going downhill, its nice for me as an American to know that in America, despite Lance's retirement, the sport is still popular, that would make 3 top-tier teams, Columbia, Red Bull, and (dispute this all you want, but especially becasue of this TDF you know its true) Garmin-Chipotle have American sponsors. If this is true I would be quite thrilled. |

To be honest I think they'll find a sponsor at the last moment, its France, I think they'll make a last push at the end of the year and find someone, even if they say they are done looking. |

How can you dispute that. They have gotten bett er results then most of the PT teams. I mean Maaskant did great in Paris-Roubaix. They briefly held on to the leader jersey in the Giro D' Italia. Trent Lowe did great with a 2nd in the Tour of Georgia with some good contenders like Leipheimer. Also they got a good 2nd with David Millar in a very tough Tour of California with some great competition. So im serious if someone thinks that they arent a good team, I wont you to convince me that they arent a top team.

I was saying that none of the Europeans can dispute that they are a top-tier team anymore, and if the ProTour existed next year they'd be in it |

Red Bull is Austrian. It also only supports teams and sports where Austrians are doing well. It's because of Red Bull's demands for instance, that Klien kept getting the F1 drive despite doing nothing to deserve it.
In this case if they sponsor the team, it will be solely due to Bernhard Kohl.
Red Bull has nothing american about it.

Stef Clement is completely fed up with Bouygues. He says they are riding a completely goalless tour. And when he wants to bring the teams climbers up front 'they are suddenly not climbers anymore and just drop'.
He wants to leave the team and had offers from Quick Step and Rabobank already |

Exactly. I didn't get what Deadpoll was rambling about either. |

Tschopp is pretty well placed...

He thought Red Bull is american, so he was excited about the positive impact that another big american sponsor would have on american cycling

From this moment on, "Saunier Duval" no longer sponsors the team
