Directeur Sportif Imelda Chiappa:
The team and riders are now back from pre-season training in Bohemian and the mountains surrounding the northers part of Lake Garda in Trento Province northern Italy.
I would like to present the last two riders we have signed:
28 years old Italian Diego Rosa, with some fighter spirit he may be able to join the occasional breakaway, otherwise a fine domestic in hills and mountain terrain. Since 2014 riding for Lierse SK - Pizza Ullo, but the team decided not to extend his contract and we got him without any fight from the free riders marked.

Wages: 50.000
29 years old Puerto Rican Eduardo Colon, have been out of contract for several years, haven’t found any evidence that he has ever had a contract before the chance he gets now. The main reason we decided to sign him is that he had some sprint and cobbles potential.

Directeur Sportif, Imelda Chiappa:
Racing is getting closer, so now it is the time to post our preview of the first encounter.
22/1-31/1 Vuelta al Tachira
Profiles:
The race is likely to draw all the best CT climbers, while we are expecting most of the best sprinters to race the clashing Great Ocean Road Classic. Due to this assumption we have made a gamble sending our best sprinter Oscar Gatto to Tachira in the hope that we can do some damage on stage 1-3, 4 and maybe even 6 if he can hang on to the peloton over the climbs. Our 2nd best sprinter Belletti will have to handle Ocean Road Classic, back to that later.
The downside to the plan is that the rest of the squad will be GC focused, Oscar Gatto will be without any notable leadout.
Besides Gatto the squad will be centred around leader Dario Cataldo who will be our GC hope, even if we in theory has a win goal in the race we will the very happy with a result in top 10, anything above that will be most appreciated.
We believe that even if we will see better climbers than Cataldo we should have one of the best supports to help him. Kebede as Lieutenant a very strong support also Sisira and Girardi decent climbers.
Ikibe and Rosa may either join a breakaway or be acting support riders to the climber team, depending on the situation.
Young Simone Petilli will hopefully get a few bottles for the team on the easier stages, otherwise he is here to learn the trade and will most likely have a rough time in this hard race, we don’t expect him to get any TV time.
The full roaster:

That mountain/hill depth is super impressive, and will be incredibly useful in a race like this. I quite like the idea of bringing Gatto for some stage victories against the grain, but I'd imagine some other squads will have similar thinking. I know of at least one
Can't wait for the racing to start!

Nice squad there. I have to agree with booker though, could've imagined better places for Gatto (f.e. leading out Kump ), in races that make his hill/cobbled stat to work better. Still a good shot on some results on any stage.

@Booker: Thanks, and yes we must expect other to bring sprinters here, but i just expect Ocean Road to be out of our league anyway. We have limited sprinter setup compared to how many top sprinters we got in CT this season.
Can't wait for the racing to start!
No I think most of us and expecially the new are about to explode from waiting.
@Croatia14: Yes he would be a good rider as a domestic on most teams Not up for transfer though - just hope he can do something here.

Cataldo with Kebede in support should do well in Tachira, will be a pain for us but good to see you guys with good scoring options already. Gatto could do well stage hunting, I don't mind it. ToME would have suited him better but isn't around anymore Especially as I see GC stage and breakaway for the hilly stages unfortunately but something else he could fight for the win Best of luck for your opening race

Vuelta al Tachira - Stage 1
Gatto is the first to open up the sprint, cant hold but in for a very fine 3rd. Bringing home the teams very first ranking points.

3rd for Oscar Gatto is a great result on such a stage. Certainly didn't expect that.
