How did Sporting and Matt sign them "juniors"?
and has it got anything to do with that feature where you can specify what name you want him to have? If so, prepare for Giovani Dos Santos to be coming my way

Everybody gets mail once in a while that a prospect is good enough to join the team. If you want a junior with a specific name just use that feature. But it want get you more junior offers.

I set the name Ollie Osprey in the team settings page, for the role I just had it set as any. Then I got a message in the mailbox earlier to do with it and of course I accepted it since getting a 17 year old with a rating of 4 is very useful, particularly since it was so cheap
