Kinda seems like Kuboki dropped the ball a bit here, he probably could have done better, but on the other hand, Kuroeda did pretty well, so thats promising for when he is maxed.

Closely beaten, looked like Modolo could get it ;( Nice to see us getting a podium place tho and hard to beat Kump on such a stage anyway. Thks trek!

Bouhanni again not doing too badly with 5th, also nice to see Delio Fernandez stretching his legs for 13th. Hopefully Valls can fight to hold onto a Top 5 GC which would be good here.

Terrific from Intxausti! Super surprised to see Amador lose nearly 2 minutes though. Congrats to Ricco, was a brave move and it payed off.
I hope that crash doesn't affect Uran, I'm looking forward to seeing him and Amador battle it out on the last mountain stage.
Thanks trek!

Finally we did get in the break at least. Too bad seeing Anacona had to give up hopefully Lövkvist and Uran won't suffer from the crash later on.
Wonder what happened to Ludvigsson had hopes for him to sneak in to top 30/25 in GC... |

Sinelobov already performing better than he did last year in CT, which is nice
Brajkovic decided to bother as well, which is good. Still not as good as hoped, but at least better than nothing. Now we can hopefully get some more points in the TTT, but we'll see about that.
Thanks for the report

Nothing was gained by Vuillermoz going in the break but it's nice to see him getting there. As it looks like Modolo's second place is the best result we take from here which is alright. Thanks for the swift great reports, trek!
Indosat with Intxausti clearly In the zone! However Ricco is super close, so that last time trial of 18 kilometers will be down to 72 vs 72.. real nailbaiter predicted!

Well congrats to Eden, it looks like the TTT will be a great showdown between Ricco and Intxausti for the win. I'm getting used to the disappointment from Amador by this point. All I can do is hope that he requests a lower salary next year than the riders he is getting consistently beat by in every single race that have lower stats than him.
I've bitched a lot (because this has been a very depressing race for me!) but thanks for the reporting trek, it has been well done and exciting between the top 2.

Really happy with the redemption Intxausi is getting here, was such a pity to warch him in Cata.
Brenes and Signorini doing their domestiques duty, nice to see such strong helpers have an actual impact

I'd comment but feel like my team would actually need to be comment worthy.

Ji and Shikai have underperformed again. This is getting so frustrating.

Guys guys guys.
I've been gone way too long. Caught up with the last two months of MG that have culminated with this? Holy shit, I am over the moon! Can't believe it. Ricco has been shaping up lately, I love it! I knew it would be 50/50 whether or not he performs here, but the man has really stepped up!
How close is this TTT going to be though? Either way, I'm sure we'll secure our top 5 objective here.

Also, not a big deal, but it was nice to see Redecker getting involved. He's just a few sprint stats off being a real force to be reckoned with. Maybe the end of season cash can help with that...

I had sort of hoped that a bit of attacking would be the silver lining of losing our leader. Guess not...

I spent half my budget on this piece of wank, while Rujano on half his paycheck is overperforming.
God damn it Fabio.... |

Have been away for the weekend, so catching up with stage 5 and 6 now.
Matthews so close to podium on the last sprint stage, and both Gilanipoor and Lowe are in contention for a top 20 GC where it's going to be a matter of seconds.
So excited for the TTT, I have absolutely no idea what to expect, since this will be the first TTT ever for Compal-Merida iirc
Thank you so much for the reports so far trekbmc, simply top notch! |
