Guess who just bought a PS3.....
no GTA, though. It's sold out everywhere, except for the special edition, and I'm not going to pay a bucketload for extra crap I don't want.

after 90 minutes of GTA, my first impression is: not bad. should look better when I hook it up to the monitor rather than the smallish TV set.

So you got it then? Was it worth the expenditure after all? I think I'll test my resolve and wait for the PC version |

too early to tell. so far, however, it seems extremely worth it. I just went into a comedy club to hear some random comedian (never heard of the guy, but apparently famous ones are in-game. Ricky Gervais is one)

Yeah I heard Gervais was in it - delivering material from his latest tour I think.
It does seem a lot more involving than before (if thats possible), and my friend bought the game the other day and said that the story is better as well...it'll be hard to wait 'til Autumn but I have to try...
Why did you choose a ps3 over the xbox btw isso?

1. Metal Gear Solid
2. GTA for XBox locks up all the time. the official forums are full complaints of not only that, but also the red ring of death.
3. Metal Gear Solid
4. It's cheaper
5. Metal Gear Solid
6. My experience as a programmer has made me hate every single thing Microsoft does, with their "we'll do it our own way and f*** complying with standards" routine
7. Metal Gear Solid

Why did you suddenly buy GTA when you had just said you wouldn't? |

When did I say I wouldn't? I said it was sold out everywhere.
But knowing a guy who works as a security guard at FNAC comes in handy once in a while (it's how I got PES)

News of the century. My girlfriend will pay some of the money for the PS3, meaning that I will now finally get it (along with GTA). Bye, bye everyone. See you in a year |

Mike was going to buy the PS3 and GTA this morning. I've never seen him so eager for anything as he was for GTA.
Notice how he disappeared?
In other news: GTA is awesome

word of advice: get it as soon in the day as you can. store opening time if possible. Over here, every day it's sold out everywhere by noon.

I don't know if I should be happy or not that I lost all liking of most games...but spending several hours a day playing Civilization or PCM isn't fun anymore and seeing you guys (and my best friend) drooling over GTA just makes me say: meh, I want to get addicted too. Now I got no excuse for not doing my studies...
