Interesting that Lo Cicero had the best positioning, congratulations to Atlantius

Well this could have gone better for us, but at least we got a top10. Interesting to see our boys managed to set up a train however ineffective it was.
Lo Cicero is a surprisingly unsurprising winner, congrats Atlantius. Beautiful report as well. It's always a pleasure to watch the colours of the peloton for the first time. Also the microshirts look amazingly in the reports.

I'm shocked that Lo Cicero was only given one star pre race. A good win there, but it was close which means that there should be some big exciting sprints this season.
Thanks for the report roturn.

Very pleased with 10th in such a contended HC-race really. Gives us a hope for the season ahead, so great stuff by Matthews!
Valio taking the win with our former star Lo Cicero was nice to see too, but Eritel extremely unlucky is a shame really.
Thank you for a wonderful preview and report Roturn! |

Congrats to the winner and nice report, and all that jazz.
But how come nobody is talking about the real news here. A car was parked on the finish line!!! This is an outrage. I demand answers!

What an underachieving performance from the SanCor boys it's like they didn't even enjoy being there. I ought to withhold their salary! |

Nice report. A worthy winner (congrats to Valio), but this season opener always seems a bit of a lottery to me. More of the pre-race favourites at the sharp end avoiding last season's major upset, but still a mixed up top 10-15 with a number of surprises present/missing.
With a less hyped management style this pre-season, fjhoekie's band of merry men finally deliver with a little less pressure heaped on their shoulders by management in the press . Sets the Ukranian outfit up for a much more relaxed season - no longer perennial relegation fighters. The team leaders can now stand down the fire department 24-hour watch on their properties!

Very poor start to the season for Bouhanni. The team didn't create a sprint train due to him not being a main favourite which is annoying but that's PCM.

Well time for a mad catchup it seems. Obviously not a very good start to the season at all for Eritel, with Van Heerden crashing out leaving no reason for Impey to get involved. Dream scenario of Impey leading out Van Heerden then beating him and everyone else will have to wait
