My main question near the end was where was Cancellara, I expected him to pull a repeat of Stage 2 of the Tour last year, when he just powered away from the pack to win. I was suprosed he didn't even try to attack, I mean, bursting out with 1 kilometer to go wouldn't kill your chances for Roubaix. |

Easier said than done,if it was as easy as that every rider would do it,he's not literally a machine!
He crashed on stage two,it was stage three he won

One rider was extremely irritated after the race. Mark Cavendish couldn't deliver the win for High Road, since he didn't even sprint. "Too dangerous, too dangerous," the British rider shouted. "There was no wind and people sprinted who can't even sprint. Okay, it's their right, as it's a one-day race." Cavendish continued fuming. "I nearly crashed five times in the last two kilometres. Five times!" Did he have the legs to win? "Yes, but I didn't even sprint."
He finished 17th

Stop being a crybaby, youre a sprinter and as a sprinter you are fully aware that you are supposed to risk your good health for the victory.

I hate riders who make excuses about everything. If you are too afraid to participate in the sprint, you chose the wrong sport....take up chess instead |

@ cav: he's a great talent but he lacks self awareness
everytime he wins he goes 'im the fastest of the pack' even tho he beats only the likes of chichi weylandt etc who arent really topsprinters
and then when he goes into a big race where it really matters, and most/all top sprinters are there, like gent-wevelgem he fails and always looks for excuses |

It's amazing how much that sounds like Boonen a few years ago
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Yeah, well if Cavendish is following Bonnen's lead, I wouldn't be unhappy if I were a Brit, Boonen is easily one of the top 3, if not the best sprinter in the world |

Where had Boonen been this year?
San Remo, nowhere
Tour of Flanders, nowhere
Today, nowhere |
